First of all, understand that you're looking at a different process to your existing laser printer. Labels printers are generally heat transfer, and either work with a ribbon or with pre-treated labels that react to heat (like a receipt printer). Second, brothers QL range are advertised as low volume - up to 25 labels a day. I have the smaller model and it's great, but I can't see putting through 10,000 labels in a day on it. The rolls only hold 400 at a time! Brother have a higher volume range you could look at, and from what I've seen the pricing isn't too dissimilar. But my instinct would be to go for a zebra given your volumes. My understanding is that they are more robust machines better for heavy production. More on reddit.com

Most likely, no. Even their "continuous" option has "black marks" which means the sensor needs to see this or a gap and doesn't look like it's able to use something without one of these two ways of registering the media. The printer is not made for this. More on reddit.com

i just bought one as my old thermal printer bit the dust. I'm trying to trick the system into thinking i'm using their label roll holder. my QL-111ONWB has a security feature on the base of the holder that presses down a combination of 6 buttons. I'm curious if anyone has this same printer or this roll holder and can tell me which buttons are being pressed down so I could copy it.

I am looking for a printer that can print price tag label or barcode for retail. I will be doing a big volume of printing the label, maybe over 10,000.
how much are the ink on both machine? Do they have third-party vendors that sell them for cheap?
I currently have the brother DCP-L2550DW series It’s working really well for me and last 5+ years and still running strong for my needs.
