Hi, please help me :( it s my first time to get a citation ticket and i dont know what to do. I got a ticket two weeks ago for 'no stop at stop sign'. But both box is not checked/marked but it has date (Appear in Court on 04/06 and Respond to Citation Before 04/06 ). I dont know what to do. I tried to go to the website to pay it online but it dont appear. Will i get a letter in the mail saying what to do next? is it mandatory to appear in court or i can just pay it online later on ? The problem is I have a flight on 04/06 for vacation that i planned for years 😭😭😭😭
I was going on I880s and got a ticket for having my fasttrak thing on 3+ but I was the only person in the car. I know its a $500 ticket and the chp officer told me to expect something in the mail regrading the ticket within 3-4 weeks. Well its been 3 months and I called CHP and they said the officer has up to a YEAR to turn their ticket in and I'll have to call back every 4 weeks to check back. A year is outrageous to me but I kinda have a feeling the chp officer either cut me a break and threw the ticket away or is waiting until his birthday or something to cash in all his citations. What you guys think?
Received a traffic ticket 2/1/23 and on the notice I have a date to appear in court 3/30/23.
I have been checking online and the ticket is not in the system yet. I called the county clerk and she said since the ticket is not in there's nothing they can do.
Now, she said I can go tomorrow to court but it will not make any difference if the ticket is not in yet. All they would do is give ma paper saying "no record found" and that's just for my peace of mind she said. Once they get the ticket in the system a new court date will be generated and that's what I have to go by.
Is this true? I'd rather not go to court if i dont have to since is a veeeery long commute and of course I have to work in the morning. But, I want to make sure i dont get in trouble because of it either.
Ticket is for going 15 over the speed limit. Im in san diego county.
I got pulled over 6 weeks ago by California Highway Patrol for speeding on Hwy 280 (85 on 65 MPH). The CHP officer said to expect an official ticket (with the amount and next steps) in the mail; and that I can complete the traffic school to knock off the point from my record. But I haven't received any mail. Been keeping track of USPS Informed Delivery and nothing there too. It has been more than 6 weeks.
Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any suggestions for the next steps? TIA!
So, over two months ago, I got a speeding ticket on Highway 50. I have not received anything in the mail so today I called the call center and they have no record of my ticket. They ran the ticket number, my drivers license number, my name and birthday… there is nothing in the system. The officer wrote a court date on the ticket of October 3 but if he hasn’t even turned it in, do I have to go to court? Has anyone ever experienced the officer never turning in their ticket? Thanks in advance!
