A parcel is indicated for delivery tomorrow. I would like to change the delivery day to Thursday. I am registered with UPSmyChoice. I click on “Change delivery day” and cannot find the option to change the day anywhere. Can someone tell me exactly where I can change this?
UPS My Choice
You can reschedule a delivery for another day ($5), or request it be held at a Customer Center for Will Call (free), or even authorize the driver to leave a 'Signature Required' package at the door (free), or even a neighbor's house ($5).
For anyone who buys online with any kind of regularity, this is extremely helpful.
Android App
iPhone App
(There is also a Premium version of My Choice for $40/year that offers unlimited free reroutes/reschedules, and also gives you a few more options)
EDIT: I should clarify a bit: The UPS My Choice membership is free, rescheduling or changing the delivery address is not free. Those options cost $5 per change. However, you can still request the package be held for Will Call for free, and you can also authorize the driver to drop off Signature Required packages without you being there, as well as my favorite: give the delivery driver custom delivery instructions such as 'leave on back porch,' or 'outer door is unlocked, set package just inside the door'.
I'm personally thinking about getting the Premium, if only for being able to choose a preferred two-hour delivery window.
You should also know certain companies (Best Buy included) disables these options through their corporate account with UPS, so even with My Choice, you will not be able to even pay to reroute packages.
I learned that the hard way.
Yeah, I tried doing this through UPS via Amazon, and they said they would do it for a 40 dollar charge, or I would have to go to the South Philly UPS station to retrieve my package. I told them to go fuck themselves and sent it back, got it 2 weeks later. I hate UPS.

A package I am expecting arrived at the local UPS store on July 12. As I will not be home until July 20, I requested the delivery date be changed to July 20, which is a Saturday. My request was approved, and I received an email confirming the rescheduled delivery date. However, when I checked the delivery status on July 13, the date had changed to July 22, a Monday. I need the package on July 20, but the UPS website does not allow me to change the delivery date to any date before July 22. Is there a way to revert the delivery date to July 20 (or July 19)?
I recently signed up for UPS my choice. It’s happened twice now where I get a notification at around noon that I requested a delivery date change, except I didn’t. Both times it was Amazon packages. In both cases the package was scheduled for delivery the next day. I was able to go into the app, cancel the request, and resubmit a date change back to the original date.
I’ve changed my password but highly doubt someone was messing with me. Anyone else have this happen?
I called UPS but they said from their side it looks like I requested the date change.
I had a package coming in on Friday, but I wasn't going to be home. So I decided to change the date to Saturday. The request went through, but the package didn't leave the UPS location and wasn't delivered. Now the delivery date is for July 30th. Is there any chance that I'll get it before that date? Is the packaged lost now? How does UPS handle date changes? Do the packages get placed in a special location that needs to be sorted agaiN?
Hi all!
I had my move boxes sent by a third party company from Germany to Finland on 29th July via UPS. Unfortunately, not all of them were delivered but 8 boxes sent back to Germany. So, I have requested to send them to me in Finland again. The company has put shipping off a couple of days. The boxes will be delievered on the next Monday or Thuesday, although I have paid for it on the last Friday. Now I have problem. I'm not gonna be at home in Finland until 1st September. So, I need to change the delivery date. I have tried to do it through MyChoice but I could`t because my UPS-ID is not registered as a receiver of these parcels.
Can I change the delivery date to the week after the next week via email? I have already tried to do it by phoning but it did not work. If not, what can I do to avoid my boxes returning to Germany after one week stay in the UPS-warehouse?
Out of curiosity, is there a reason UPS can change your delivery date without approval and then charge you for it? I was expecting a package to arrive yesterday after requesting a redelivery, but it never showed up.
I later found out that a new delivery date was supposedly requested on my behalf, and I got billed for it. However, no one actually requested this change. Now, the delivery date is set for after Christmas. Checked my settings with customer service as well. And they could not find where the request came from.
So I changed this delivery for a pickup on 19th at 9 AM. Before I made the change, the original delivery date was on 23rd (this Monday). But I haven't gotten any updates since then. The only reason I'm worried is because I'm gonna leave the country next week and I have to receive this delivery. According to UPS, all change requests are completed within 24-48 hours. We're at the 42nd hour mark so I'm kinda stressed out. What do you think is going on here? Do you think I can pickup the package until 27th because that's when I leave the country.
I'm leaving for 4 days and the stupid package is delivering on the day I'm leaving (of course). However, I know it will be in my city the day before, just at the hub.
We're talking this week. It will be in town tomorrow, but I know it won't be delivered until Thursday. They want me to pay $8 for UPS Ground upgrade, but they won't tell me before I pay if I could pick up the day before delivery since it'll be at the hub.
Any of you ever done something like that and wind up picking up a package the day before delivery after upgrading to Ground and changing delivery to pickup?
I missed the delivery for my package today and they won’t allow it to go to an access point or be left at the door without a signature. I opted for the 11.99 charge they offer on their website to change the delivery date and it charged my card, the delivery date was pending, and it rescheduled for tomorrow before 7:00pm. I will not be home tomorrow and I’m really frustrated that I can’t speak to a real human when calling their customer service number. I don’t know what to do because I feel like I was charged for no reason at this point.
So I have a package being shipped from Florida (by a seller) to me in Pennsylvania.
The shipping service used is Next Day Air, with Saturday Delivery added onto it so that I receive it Saturday.
It was shipped today, Friday 6/9/23, for delivery tomorrow, Saturday 6/10/23.
The package updates are as follows:
-
Pickup Scan by UPS at 5:20pm in Florida (Melbourne)
-
Origin scan at 6:41pm (Melbourne)
-
Departed from facility at 7:05pm (Melbourne)
It is at this point that I realized the delivery address was incorrect.
Instead of being shipped to me in Pennsylvania, it was being shipped to an address in Maryland (roughly a 3 hour drive away from me).
I immediately contacted the seller, who very quickly paid for and put in an address change request.
So, to continue with the package updates from this point:
-
Address Change Requested (We received a request from the sender to update the delivery address) at 7:30pm
-
Arrived at facility (Orlando, FL) at 8:24pm.
It is now 11:41pm and that is the last update.
There is no estimated delivery date just yet.
Looking at past orders from this sender that I also ordered on a Friday for Saturday delivery, the package route, after arriving at Orlando FL, is as follows:
-
Depart from Facility in Orlando, FL (this typically happens around 9:30pm)
-
Arrive at facility in Louisville, KY (this typically happens around 11:30pm)
-
Depart facility in Louisville KY (typically around 5am Saturday)
-
Arrive at a facility in Pennsylvania around 6am
So, my question is: Do you think there's any chance I still get this package, here in Pennsylvania, tomorrow (Saturday)?
I am hoping that, because this delivery change request was put in very early in the package's route, that it can be updated in time and still arrive on time tomorrow (Saturday).
I fully understand that it's unlikely anyone here can answer my question with any sort of certainty, but I am sure there are many people here, both employees and customers with more experience than myself, who may be able to make educated guesses that are far better than my own.
So, what do you all think?
I have a box requiring signature arriving tomorrow. I wanted to change the delivery date to thursday. I go online to make the change and it says they'll charge me $10.
Or...I can just let the delivery truck make an attempt tomorrow and they'll come back the next day when I'm there...for free. How does this make any sense at all?
I have a package coming via UPS next day air w/sig required next Monday but I'm out of town and won't be back until Friday. I didn't anticipate this since the order I placed was on backorder. I tried to change the delivery date or redirect it to an access point on UPS.com but UPS charges $9.99 or $5.99 for each service. Is there a way to get the delivery changed without a fee? If I call UPS and ask them to hold at a UPS customer center, is it free of charge? Thanks.
I have a parcel arriving with UPS and have been told it will be delivered next week in a certain time slot and needs signing for. The issue is I’m at work for 3 of the 4 hours so I wanted to rearrange by a couple of days so that it falls on my rest days.
I go to the tracking. There’s the option to change delivery. Tells me to enrol in My Choice (which I know I’ve done previously). I even enter my email and it tells me I’m already enrolled. I can log in but nowhere can I find how to change delivery.
Could anyone direct me please?
I can go to the parcel from my profile and click change delivery from there and it’s just an endless cycle of it wanting me to sign in and then enrol to My Choice. Even though I was already signed in and am enrolled. It’s a really frustrating process and I find the website badly designed. Really not sure how to progress!
I stupidly tried to change the delivery date to be sooner for my package. It was shipped last Thursday and I requested it be delivered Monday. It was loaded on a truck on Friday and shipment progress showed on the way on track to be delivered this Thursday. On Monday, UPS website updated to show this:
The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible. Your package cannot be located at this time. We are working to accommodate your request if it is still in transit.
What does this mean? Should I just wait and see if my package is scanned into the local hub? There’s an option to cancel the delivery change - should I do this or will it just delay even further? Thank you for all the help!
UPDATE: update per the post below. A UPS rep called me and told me that they have been having a technical problem with their app, and when you pay for and request another delivery date, it is pushing that delivery date way forward. In my case, I requested for it to be delivered today on the 27th instead of the 26th yesterday– it pushed it to September 11! They put in a ticket to a supervisor to have it changed to tomorrow and claims I’ll get a call from them to confirm it. Doubtful but you never know. Another rep called later and confirmed it was pushed way too far ahead but seemed to be oblivious to what the other rep said about this having happened to other people. Gave me a different number to call to request a refund for the fee I paid. Either way if you’re going to change the delivery date via the app at least in the near term be aware there may be issues with it ——————————————————
I had a UPS envelope coming to me yesterday but I was going to be at the doctor all day, so shortly after the person shipped it I went into the app and paid the nine dollar or so fee to change the delivery date to today (Wednesday) the next day instead. The app says that the request was successfully received and says updated delivery date would be today.
7:45 PM – no package. Does not show out for delivery on the app. Just keep saying today for delivery. The help area of the app says 7 PM is usually the cut off for residential deliveries. I had to put in for a callback from a representative which is going to be at least 30 minutes But in the past they never do call back
So how am I going to get a refund because I specifically paid extra to have it delivered today instead. Is this just high hopes or do they actually refund when they don’t fulfill paid requests like that?
I was on vacation when a signed delivery was attempted. I had a neighbor grab the door slip for me and I went online to change the delivery date for 1 week out when I would be home. My tracking information acknowledges that they received the new date but for some reason the package was returned to sender. The sender is wanting to charge me $111 round trip shipping now since it was returned to them and I want it reshipped. Any suggestions on what can be done in this situation? Did I misunderstand what changing my delivery date would do? TIA for any help offered.

Update: I called the support phone number, and it is all automated and doesn't address my issue. I submitted an online claim, and they called me back surprisingly fast and basically said to call the same number I already tried.
Scenario: Immigration documents getting delivered this week (there was no way to tell they were getting delivered this week otherwise would not have travelled). My frustration is because I had two packages, I was able to change delivery for one and the other one doesn't work.
Change My Delivery option online just doesn't work and customer service just gives random reasons to why it's not working, e.g., you enrolled in My Choice account yesterday, address is listed as commercial and not residential.
I have been facing immense issues with rescheduling my delivery for immigration documents. It is very very hard to request change of delivery. The webpage just gets stuck in a loop. And comes back to the same page where it started. I have spoken to 2 agents both saying they can't do anything. Asked it I can get an exception - no we cannot.
Anyone faced any issues recently and were able to change the delivery?
EDIT: Fortunately my neighbor was able to pick it up from the UPS folks on behalf of us as an authorized signatory.
