A year ago, I bought the Huntsman TE with Gen 1 switches. I would want to replace my switches with the Gen 2 so that it's quieter and not as sensitive. I've been scouring all over the interwebs, but I can't find a store that sells the Gen 2 switches separately. I'm fairly new to mechanical keyboards.
Also, what kid of keycaps are compatible with Optical Switches? Just so I know what to type when searching for keycaps. Thank you!

You can't buy any of Razer's switches separately unless it's from someone who literally ripped it out of their keyboard, which could probably be found on eBay but they could easily be fakes. And I believe the compatible keycaps are just regular OEM keycaps ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Unfortunately, you can't buy Razer optical switches separately. Your only real option (outside of buying fakes on Ebay or something) is to buy a new or used board with the gen 2 switches and popping them into the Huntsman TE. I think the Mercury Huntsman Mini has the gen 2 reds in it, but I'm not 100% sure. Snagging a used one could be an option if you ultimately just want the switches.
