Is CapCut a good software?
Is capcut PC safe?
DaVinci Resolve is free and doesn't come with the stealing your personal info / spyware angle that most of these "free" NLEs do.
It's also an industry standard. Using obscure software like "CapCut" won't do you any favours in the long run; you'll learn bad habits and get stuck in a rut. When you move past its limits and features, you'll have to start over again learning. If you want to learn, it's easier to throw yourself into something that'll give you exceptional results and teach you pro NLE methodology while you're at it.
Resolve has a seamless upgrade route to their studio edition and is made by Blackmagic Design. Their only reward is brand awareness and loyalty. I shoot with Blackmagic cameras and use their studio edition and I can totally vouch for them. I've become a bit of a fangirl to be honest.
There's a tonne of tutorials on YT for it too.

Just kinda starting in editing and wanted to ask if CapCut is a good software in your opinion, compared to Premiere Pro. What would be the better software to start in?
By the way: I know about the monthly thread but I just want to hear some opinions from others
I have seen that there is a version of CapCut for computers at https://www.capcut.com. CapCut is a pretty powerful free video editor without a watermark so it would be really nice to have. The thing is, I have not seen anyone talk about it and I am not sure if it is ok to trust.

Capcut is made the same company on tiktok so they will steal your personal data, so its a chinese shitty spyware. So i prefer Davinci Resolve.
STEPS:
Download Latest CapCut on PC
DO NOT SIGN IN! (Some people said you can stay logged in so try for yourself)
Edit your video as normal and use any pro features you want.
Once done editing select everything in timeline, right click, click "Create compound Clip"
Right Click clip again and select "Pre-process compound clip"
Find CapCut folder on disk and goto -> CapCut Drafts, find the Folder with the name of your project.
Open it and find folder named "Resources"
Open resources and find folder named "Combination"
Inside the combination folder you will find your fully rendered video with all pro features.
EDIT #1: If you canโt play the video for any reason rename it and put โ.mp4โ as the file extension.
EDIT #2: Yes this still works.
