Transferring money to someone else’s 360 account
Not using an standard ACH transfer... you can only "link" accounts that are owned by you. Try using Zelle. You will have to register either your email or phone number with Zelle, and your partner can do the same on his account. Depending on how much you want to transfer, you may have to send a smaller amount first. There are 2 ways to do this: From the "Home" screen, there should be a thing that says "I want to..." It may have "Send Money with Zelle" as an option. If not, click on "VIEW ALL." Under the full "I want to" list, under "Manage transfers and payments," you should see options for Zelle. Go to the "Pay/Move" tab in the app. You may see a link for Zelle there. If not, click on "Pay" at the top. Worst case scenario you could order a cashiers check or wire transfer, but those cost money. More on reddit.com

April 30, 2025 -
My partner recently opened an account under their name. Is possible for me to send money from my 350 account to theirs? I tried adding it as an external bank account but that didn’t work. It mentioned using the P2P feature but I’m not able to find that in the site/app. Any info on how to do this would be appreciated. TIA!

P2P is the old version of Zelle. Use Zelle as the previous commenter suggested. You can also open a joint 360 savings account. Then you put the money you want to transfer in there and your partner can pull it out into their 360 checking all instantly.

Tried to register my wife's account to do a ACH External Transfer without success. We called the bank and they said you can only do an ACH to an account where you are an account holder (joint or single). I know Zelle and Venmo, but I was surprised to learn the only other way is a Wire Transfer. Is this Capital One specific?

Banks do this to avoid ACH fraud. If you can add a stranger's account (all you need is routing/acct # which are on personal checks), you can theoretically pull money from it without authorization.
