Hey everyone,
I recently went through the warranty process for my Casper Original Hybrid, which I bought from Mattress Warehouse, but Casper is the one handling the warranty. They’re sending me a Casper Dream Hybrid as a replacement, and I’m wondering—what are the major differences between these two models? I’ve tried searching for a detailed comparison, but I’m not finding much.
The issue I had with the Original Hybrid was that it started sagging within six months, leading to some serious back pain. I bought it in March of this year, and by the sixth month, the lack of proper support became noticeable. Now, I’m concerned—will the Dream Hybrid be any better, or is there a chance we’ll be dealing with the same problem a few months down the line?
Has anyone else experienced this kind of issue with the Dream Hybrid, or noticed improvements compared to the Original? Any insights on durability, comfort, or support would be greatly appreciated!

So I'm a side sleeper with a very firm mattress that has been screwing up my shoulder/upper back for almost a year; I tested out a casper hybrid mattress in store and it felt very soft/plush but still with some support.
(Ive tried several toppers for my firm mattress before including the casper one and sink right through / hate them!)
I know the costco casper hybrid version is different (and some reddit reviews says its firm, which I likely dont want) but Im wondering if anyone knows the actual difference between these 2 models, besides the price...
any advice or knowledge would be much appreciated!

From what I understood, the Costco is a similar design to their older 2017/2018 Original model but that Costco has a hand in making it. The Original Hybrid is the newer 2020 model, which has a similar top foam that’s perforated for airflow, it removes the firmer memory foam that was in the middle which had complaints of being too firm and hot, and keeps the same three zones of support. I can’t tell you what the Costco version feels like, because I’ve never tried it. I personally would go with the mattress you can try that is easier to return.

The Costco Casper has two versions All foam: I found this super comfortable and has a faster response memory foam with contouring but also very soft. It was too soft for me as a side sleeper (130lbs). I really wanted it to be the one. Hybrid: Firmer than the all foam. Comfort layer feels more like poly foam and less conforming. This was too firm for me/not enough pressure relief, I like a bit more hug. Although I could see those heavier than me liking it. The Casper dream: feels more like Costco Casper hybrid but with a denser memory foam, less bounce and more support/firmer. The foam feels a bit higher quality. I only tried this in store but thought it was a bit too firm for my liking. Casper Snow: This was another I looked at but was worried it'd become too soft like the Costco all foam. The snow had a slower response foam. If you want something softer, go with the all foam. If you want firmer and less dense memory foam go with the hybrid. Overall the Costco Casper's both have a faster response foam.
