So I’ve built my first ever system and am currently using a temporary keyboard/mouse setup. What type of mouse and keyboard would suite me best? I’m looking for a solid middle ground between hardcore gaming stuff and work stuff. Any recommendations?

Honestly..this is just my opinion, but why not see if you can get those logitech game combos? Not the shitty ones. The g502 one that comes with the keyboard? They do sales every so often to make it cheaper(and prob clear off stock)

I’m a console player that will be building my first pc soon. I used up most of my budget on the pc components. Looking for recommendations on a wireless mouse/keyboard combo for around $100 total primarily used for gaming.
Planning on playing a variety of games like 7 days to die and Tarkov starting out. I don’t really care about aesthetics, just something that is decent quality for the money. Bonus if i can buy it at Best Buy since I have a gift card.

Logitech Lightspeed mice. No perceivable latency over wired, solid sensor performance. Keyboard, unless you have to use wireless, go with wired. Anything backlit and with anti-ghosting zones, or better still with nkro via ps2 port.

Whats more Important to you, a good mouse or a good keyboard? You'll get a better than average mouse for 100 buck, or a better than average keyboard for 100 bucks. You won't get both that are decent. My advice, get both as cheap as chips. 10 dollar keyboard and a 15 buck mouse. Then save up and get your priority device. Make do, and buy the one you really want. If you choose right, it should last you 10 or 15 years. I'm still using a left handed wired razer death adder gaming mouse from around 2007. Im also loving a logitech wireless mechanical lights peed keyboard. A bit pricey, but it's solid. Good for long typing and gaming too. (I can flip it onto Bluetooth and type on my tablet or phone as well for a long WhatsApp message. )

For mouse, you want a lightweight (~60g or less) and 1000hz poll rate sensor. Any keyboard will do, although do buy a normal looking keyboard (not one with flat keys, those aren't good for general use/gaming) I don't recommend mice/keyboard combo, there are good ones yes, but rarely.

I was recently looking for good cheap mice, and the best one I found was the G203 (right now on sale for 20€ on Amazon). There might be usable even cheaper options out there, but if so, I have not been able to find them. A few budget friendly mechanical keyboard options (according to another Reddit post that I cannot link due to rule 3) are the RedDragon K552, EagleTech KG011, as well as one by Tomoko and Bluefinger. However if you don't want a mechanical keyboard, pretty much any wired keyboard should probably be fine, as long as it supports at least 6-key or ideally n-key rollover. At least for gaming, mice below 15$ are basically unusable. You just need a certain grade of sensor for it to work properly. Keyboards are less of a big deal. Higher end keyboards might look/feel nicer of have extra features, but as long as it doesn't have a lot of input lag and you can press multiple different buttons at once (n-key rollover), it should at least work.
