Hola mi amigos,
I am looking for some input on designing a website and paying for a domain name. I would like the budget to be $5-20 a month max. (New start up)
Any suggestions ? I was looking at godaddy briefly but would appreciate some personal opinions. I currently have the google my business free website but am not happy with it....
No to everything other people are recommending.
You’re not a web expert, and that’s okay. You need something easy to use, affordable, and beautiful.
My recommendation is to go with Squarespace. It will offer everything you need. And you can purchase s domain name through Squarespace so you don’t have figure out the complexities of DNS and other nerd stuff.
Good luck
I would go with a quick template based site like Wix or Weebly. I am biased toward WordPress, but if you aren’t knowledgeable about it then it can cost some decent money to have it developed.
A lot of you effort will be put into developing good content and molding the client journey. Once that is done it is mostly just design and layout.
I started a new business & for that I want to create a simple website like portfolio. I don't have high budget for website development. I can pay $5 per month.
Please recommend me some best & cheap website builders for small business.

I'm a 16 year old photographer and I make my money through weddings and portraits. Right now I get around 1 wedding per month and even less portraits, so I'm looking into building a website, and buying a domain. I'm young and I don't know a lot about this stuff, if I buy the domain for £20/ year, do I also get the email? How do I use the email?? Or do I have to go through Google to host it? And for the website I'm looking at wix, but I can't afford the 15/month for wix and also the 25/month for Google, not until I get more clients.. Can someone give me the step by step to get the domain, the email, and build a website for less than £30/month, or is that just not possible?
edit: thanks for all the answers, sorry if I don't reply to them all but I am reading them and writing down the info, thanks :)
edit 2: solved! I've gone through Google workspace starter, £5/month (you have to sign up for the business plus, and then change subscription). I went through Google for the storage and email hosting. I'm making the site with Google sites, but in the future I'll head over to wix or squarespace.
I now own tysphotostash.com and hopefully this is the start of a successful business? (check it out if you want but it's all over the place ATM)
Most of the websites I’m seeing (Shopify, squarespace, Wordpress) seem to be about $25 per month. Has anyone found anything cheaper? I would like to do sales through the website. I have a small woodworking business and I’m not sure if it would be worth it for me to pay 25 bucks a month. I also don’t have an issue with creating it all from scratch if that is a possibility.
What are the best website builders for small businesses? I’m starting a small business and now looking for the best website builders to create my own website. I want it to look professional and also help drive traffic. I plan to build the site myself, so I’m searching for a builder that’s easy to use but flexible enough for future needs.
I’ve been reading about different companies, but it’s confusing. Many seem good at first, but I’ve heard some business owners say that certain website builders don’t work well with HTML, or have limitations because they use drag-and-drop systems. I don’t want to face issues like that later.
I have a few questions:
What is the best website builder for small businesses?
Are there any good free website builders?
Should I go with a custom-built site or use a drag-and-drop builder?
Any website builders you recommend based on personal experience?
Any tips or advice would be super helpful! I want to pick a platform that works well long-term and won’t give me problems once my business grows. Thanks in advance!
I’m currently looking for a website builder that hits the sweet spot between affordability and quality for 2024. Starting up a business, and every penny counts, but I also need my website to look professional and offer the basic functionalities like e-commerce integration, responsive design, and easy content management.
I’ve heard about various options ranging from Wix and Squarespace to WordPress and Webflow, but I’m particularly interested in finding the most cost-effective solution without compromising too much on features.
Does anyone have recommendations for the best and cheapest website builders that have worked well for you? Tips on getting the best value for money or any hidden gems in the market would also be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for helping out!
Hey, everyone.
I'm currently in the processing of starting my own business (completely online), and I need a good website builder.
Coding a website isn't currently an option. I would just like recommendations STRICTLY on website builders, and what the best ones are for the price. And what kind of prices am I looking at ?
I've heard both wonderful and not-so-great things for every website builder out there: Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, etc...
I also heard that Shopify charges you per payment transaction? Not too sure, but I believe I read that somewhere.
I would love something offering simple and clean layouts, is user-friendly, and something I can also add subscription options to (e.g think monthly subscription boxes for clients), if I end up going that route eventually.
I live in Quebec, if this helps anything.
Thank you everyone! I appreciate any/all advice 🥰
Most of the big names like Webflow and Squarespace are kind of pricey.
Are there any no-code builders that have affordable monthly plans but still look professional?
I’ve seen Hostinger, Durable, and Weebly.
They all seem to look good but I haven’t personally tried any of them.
I just need a homepage, about page, and contact form if I ever pick one.
Which one do you use and why? Help me out. Thanks!
Some of the cheapest website builders are Wix, Zyro, and Weebly. They offer free plans or very low-cost monthly options. vq.pe also offers website development in just $5 per month.
Do you know any other?
I don't have any coding knowledge and companies like WIX charge way too much for this service.
I want to create a simple website with basic info about my family's business. I need a website that's easy to use and doesn't require any coding. Any suggestions?
Hey, I’m trying to build a personal portfolio and I’m looking for a good free website builder to use. Nothing super complicated, just something clean, easy to use, and hopefully doesn’t hit me with upgrade prompts every 5 minutes.
If you’ve used https://durable.co/ or any builder that you liked I would love to hear what worked for you and why. I’m just trying to avoid wasting time jumping from one platform to another.
Just started a small business (s-corp) and wondering what the best/cheapest/easiest way to create a website is. I created the S-corp via LegalZoom, which connected me to Wix, which charges about 14 or 15 a month, but was wondering whether there are any cheaper/free options.
Related to the same, I'd like to create a Gmail account for the business. Does that cost any money? And would any issues arise if I decided to do so and build a website using something other than one of the more mainstream/expensive website builders (e.g. Squarespace or Wix)?
Pretty self explanatory.,. Looking to build an author page..wondering what everyone's using , are happy with , hate with a passion , etc. TYIA
I’m in the early stages of launching a small business and need to get a website up soon. My two biggest priorities are making it look professional and actually driving traffic to it, no point in a pretty site if nobody visits it.
I’ve looked into WordPress (the Business Plan is $300/year), and while it seems powerful, I’m hesitant to commit that much upfront. Not because it’s outrageously expensive, but I’m wondering if there’s a better starting point that doesn’t involve paying a full year in advance.
Are there platforms that offer a good mix of design flexibility and marketing tools, especially ones that don’t break the bank? I’ve seen people mention Shopify, Squarespace, and even working with digital agencies like Clectiq for more customized setups. I’m open to anything that balances affordability and growth potential.
Would love to hear what’s worked for you or your business. Thanks!
Looking for a good free builder just to start, or should I look at paid ones?
I’m setting up a small business site and looking at Squarespace, Wix, and WordPress. My main goals are a clean, professional look and being able to handle SEO basics without a ton of hassle. I’ve tried Wix in the past and found it easy but a bit limited when I needed more flexibility. WordPress seems powerful but maybe overkill for a simple site, and Squarespace looks polished but I’m not sure about long-term customization. What is the best website builder for a small business if you want solid SEO and room to grow? Is it worth learning WordPress for this?
