Chrome is sleazeball spyware from Google, the king of sleazeball tech companies. You can get ungoogled chromium, but Firefox gives you more control. There's simply no excuse for using Chrome or Edge.

With Chrome v15 and v16, when our students sign into Chromebooks, a new tab opens with information about "Enhanced Ad Privacy in Chrome". You then have to scroll down a centimeter to click "Got it" to close the tab and go back to the Home Page tab.
This is causing so many problems for our youngest students who can't read and are just learning how to scroll on a Chromebook. I have not found a way to stop this from happening every time a student logs in.
Has anyone found a way to disable this?

You can disable it from Google Admin. "1. Please go to your Admin console (admin.google.com). 2. Kindly go to "Devices" > "Chrome" > "Settings" > "Users & browsers" tab. 3. Press Ctrl + F. Look for "Privacy Sandbox". 4. Locate the OU where you would like to apply the changes. 5. Under the Configuration, please Choose the following: a. Do not show Privacy Sandbox prompt to users. b. Disable Privacy Sandbox Ad topics settings for your users. c. Disable Privacy Sandbox Site-suggested ads settings for your users. d. Disable Privacy Sandbox Ad measurement settings for your users. Lastly, please click "Save"."

I made this exact post on the chrome reddit and it was removed and locked instantly with no massge from any mods. so im posting here for help.

Ive tried reinstalling chrome several times. still happens multiple times a day.
Strangely, if I dont sync, it doesnt do this, until i do sync. So i figured it was syncing to and old device or something, I removed all devices on my google profile except for one... turned sync on and it still happens.
Seems to be something bugged with my google account.
I created another test google account and this issue doesnt happen.
Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

The fix is to not use Chrome. Google has a vested interest in that option being enabled.

My best guess that hasn't been mentioned yet: A-B testing. Your account has been opted in which you agreed to in the TOS somewhere. I suggest using Ungoogled Chromium unless you're concerned about security updates lagging a few days behind.
