In Network+ 008, the terminal commands that you need to use for any terminal command PBQs are found in the A+ 1102 exam objectives. These commands were NOT listed in the exam objectives for Network+ 008. Network+ version 009 exam objectives lists the terminal commands you will need to study. Maybe the exam committee noticed this, and corrected it. You can study the exam objectives for Network+ 009, and they should be complete. Make sure that you're solid on your acronyms, which are also listed in the exam objectives.

Is it me or did CompTIA change the exam objectives drastically for the 009+ exam to be released end of June? I did a side by side comparison and I noticed many of the requirements for understanding connectivity rates and cable requirements have disappeared. It almost appears stripped down.

Of course they've changed. It's a new exam with new objectives that reflect changes in technology the have arisen since the N10-008 exam objectives. It also removes objectives that have been moved into A+, are common knowledge among techs, are uncommon or have become obsolete. New exam objectives for a given certification from CompTIA are typically about 40% different. They often have a shift in focus (such as more enterprise-orientation as opposed to SOHO), removal of old material, addition of new content and upgrade of objectives (such as Ethernet support 10, 100 and 1000mbps now also support 2500/2.5G). Best in your studies.
