Cotopaxi Allpa 28L owners--crossbody carry possible?
One strap crossbody with backpack conversion
The water bottle is the most difficult criterion for me. The Patagonia Standup Bag is rated at 18 liters and has a slip pocket on the outside that works in horizontal and vertical modes and would handle a water bottle and more.
The Topo Designs Global Briefcase comes close but for that pesky water bottle pocket.
I recently got an Osprey Daylite Tote that converts from backpack to tote and having raised a couple kids, I think it would make a good parenting bag. Of course you can sling it over a should on one strap like any backpack. On sale at REI too.
I had a Taal and the fabric is very light and the bag droops. Think reusable grocery bag. The backpack conversion seems like an afterthought and isn’t very comfortable so it was crossbody for me.
The Flowfold Odyssey large crossbody tote will covert from tote to crossbody (not backpack) but it’s huge for crossbody. Their Denizen 18 liter tote/backpack does that conversion but not the crossbody mode.

Those of you who have this bag: is there a place on the bag where I could attach a crossbody strap if I wanted to? Two sturdy loops on the corners?
I'm debating between this bag and the Patagonia MLC 30L. I prefer the Cotopaxi but would like the option to carry crossbody at times.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
Edited with my final decision: I ordered the Cotopaxi Allpa 28L. It arrived yesterday and I did a test pack and I love it. Ultimately I realized I preferred the clamshell design.
