FileBrowser can then generate a direct download link to those files that can be shared with customers. I've got a website selling video assets and music. I want my customer after purchase to be able to directly download the video or audio file.
But I don't want the customer to be taken to the "Dropbox" site, or "Google Drive" site, or "MediaFire" site, or wherever. I just want them to be able to click a link and the download starts onto their computer.
What site offers a good version of this?

It's funny that we got to the point where Web3 is discussed but on most of the popular services we've lost absolute basic functionality to (gasp) get the file from a link, everything needs to be active, to send you through a maze, set countless cookies and so on.

Using brew, install wget. You can download content from any webpage, I think this is the only easy way, well, that I know of. Note, downloading content from a website may violate TOS, so keep that in mind with whatever application you are trying to use. An example with wget would be wget 'https://spoton.framer.website/' That will download an index.html of that chosen website, then you can open it in your browser or view the code with VS etc. Does that somewhat help, if not I'll try to word it differently or something better! Hi OP, did you ever find a solution to this? Or and effective alternative? I have been looking for something similar. I currentlyuse Google drive for direct downloads, but some people I share my links with work from corporate machines that block Google drive (and guess Dropbox won’t be better). More on reddit.com
