Echoing what another user said, I would still be wary about giving a 5 year old toys meant for ages 7-10, REGARDLESS of how she acts older. With that in mind, and keeping in mind how you're looking "in terms of robotics" - which I assume means you're looking for dolls that have some focus on robotics - there's a Robotics Engineer Barbie that came out a few years ago. I don't think she's on the shelves anymore, but she should be easily found online. There's also "Robot Girl" Lottie. She won't be on the shelf but she's relatively recent and you can find her online still. I think she has a few small parts, but nothing too crazy. For dolls that have a sort of sci-fi tech aspect to them, you could specifically try Barbie Starlight Adventure dolls. This line was mostly just science fiction and space-y, so not much robotics, but there was one doll that had a hovering pet component and there was an RC controlled Barbie figure. Came out a few years ago so you'll have to buy online. If you want, like, actually robot *toys*, that aren't dolls (or which aren't meant to be dressed up like dolls, but you might be able to fit either some American Girl/18" doll clothes on them or maybe baby clothing), then... looking really quickly online, it looks like there's the HopeRock Smart Robot for ages 4-10 (available from Walmart, but IDK if it's in store or online only). There's a lot of these type of toys on Amazon. If the "dress up" part isn't as important as the robotic/interactive element, there should be multiple Fur Real friends to choose from, small and large both. There's always plenty of little robotic interactive figures in the aisles, usually shaped like animals. If you want one that's shaped like a human, it looks like JAKKS Pacific has the Rock N Rollerskate Rainbow Riley and Lightning Luna dolls on Amazon - plastic, non-removable hair and extremely limited articulation and they have flashing lights, but they're remote controlled so... robotics element? I would suggest - if you want a bigger selection, try looking at the boy toys for robotic stuff. It's super misogynistic, but they're probably more likely to have more available to them. Anyway, this is all kind of off the cuff and quickly researched. Robotic girl toys haven't been, I guess, "in style" in the last few years so it's harder to find anything recent for them. Plus, "robotics" is a pretty wide scope that's kind of hard to narrow down. Like I said - do you want a "doll" as in brushable hair and clothing you can change, or a "doll" as in an interactive robotic toy? Because those are two different things. I tried to give you a few suggestions for both, but, like I said... there's not a lot to choose from that's recent.
