I do. Most guys don't know how they work or how to diagnose, so will tell you to replace as an auto response. Repairs can be really expensive. Depending on the fault, if the unit is over 10 years old it may be better to replace. Noone repairs the electronics here. I looked in to it myself but it didn't really seem realistic the price I would want to charge vs buying a new PCB. For old units that I can't get parts for anymore I have sent PCBs to a place called module repair in Aus a couple of times. More on reddit.com

i don’t know if anyone can help me with this, but my daikin heat pump is giving an e7 error code which the internet says has something to do with an outdoor unit having a fan blockage. the only problem is that i don’t seem to have an outdoor unit. i’ve searched the property high and low and it seems like something that would be pretty easy to find if it existed. does anyone have any ideas before i have to call in a service man for something the internet says is an “easy fix”?
