Indochino and any other "made to measure" / "custom" company is going to almost definitely sell you a bad suit that looks bad and will fuck you over on returns. Those are the scams. Haven't heard of studiosuits but judging by the price point alone, I'd stay far, far away. Suitsupply is not a scam. They mainly sell italian made wool suits off the rack. If you can get into a brick and mortar location and get fitted (you'll probably need to make an appointment), you'll probably get out there for under a grand. Might go a little over with tailoring but they're your best bet. Try to avoid slim cuts is all I'd suggest (their sales team seems to really like 'em but they don't look flattering on big guys usually). More on reddit.com

I purchased a forest green suit for a special occasion sometime back, and I frankly have been shy to wear it since.
Am I just being too bashful? Or does it need to be the right kind of event to justify a suit of that color? I'm trying to decide if I need to get rid of it altogether and purchase a more conservative suit, or if I'm good to roll into most kinds of events with it. Or maybe something in between those two options.

I think that the suit could work for many occasions depending on level of formality and what industry you're working in (i.e. do you regularly have to wear a suit for work?) Places I wouldn't wear a forest green suit: job interview, funeral, important client meetings (if you work in a more conservative field such as finance, strategy consulting, corporate finance, etc.), large conferences / gatherings where uniformity is valued. It could work for most weddings that have cocktail attire recommended and more casual gatherings where you'd be looking to wear a suit. It may limit shirt / tie colour combinations, but a forest green suit doesn't need to be relegated to some sort of seasonal or one-off novelty purchase. The one thing is you'll definitely have more attention paid to you for better or for worse because it is an uncommon colour in most settings. But, could be a huge compliment magnet if properly styled! It seems like you are considering swapping it out for another suit which implies this might be your only suit at the moment? If so, I would highly recommend adding a navy / charcoal suit into the mix if money isn't too tight as they are far more versatile colours that will help you cover most situations and settings where you'd need to wear a suit. Edit: it seems like you're in or going to be attending law school. I would DEFINITELY get a charcoal / navy suit and have this forest green as an alternative (and by alternative I mean do not wear it for any recruiting events). For recruiting, you really don't want to be an outlier in terms of your attire. Not in law, but have seen awkward instances where applicants show up in non-traditional colours for suits in a job interview setting (e.g. black, or not in a suit and wearing a mismatched blazer & pant combo) and it does stand out to the point that interviewers make comments. Also I'll defer to any lawyers here in terms of whether forest green is an appropriate colour to wear in a courtroom setting.
