FWIW it’s a diminishing field and hugely over saturated because everyone thinks, “wow! Remote work with no experience and I don’t have to talk on the phone?”. With no experience I would be shocked if you’d make more than $15 an hour doing it - plus, a lot of companies outsource it or have contractors (ie no benefits or part time only) do it anyway. My first FT job out of college had a lot of data entry work and it was boring. Your eyes get blurry and dry staring at the same shit over and over again, you make little mistakes because it’s so boring you can’t be assed to pay attention. Coworker and I ended up automating a lot of it by the time I left. I wouldn’t get your hopes set on finding a data entry job because they’re hard to come by and the job market is filled with scammy companies offering outlandishly high wages for it. If you see a company you can’t find a google page for offering $25 an hour for a data entry clerk it’s a scam or fake. They’re out there, but get your goals set and learn skills to make yourself an experienced candidate for other jobs. More on reddit.com

Absolutely it is. Both of my sisters in law work remotely doing data entry for United Healthcare. One of them does it with 2 kids at home (2 yr old and a newborn) and a kid in kindergarten. More on reddit.com

Check out your local Craigslist or indeed postings. Or reach out to local offices, sometimes healthcare have remote work needs. As a general rule, a legit job will never ask you to send money or anything. Don’t share info like social security number until you’ve googled it and made sure it’s legit.
