What Is a Data Entry Job?
Data entry jobs involve typing information into electronic formats, whether that’s word processing, spreadsheets, or specific software. It’s a great career option for detail-oriented people—or even those who prefer to work remotely from home. Data entry jobs typically use a computer to enter data or information, often from a hard-copy paper format, into a software application. Some positions may include scanning documents and using optical character recognition or OCR. Some examples of data entry job duties include transcribing, updating customer information, and entering accounting records.

Hey, they offered me a Data Entry job, 8 hours a day for $600 USD. The good thing is that it's remote and there's no fixed schedule; I can spread those 8 hours throughout the day however I want. That works well for me because I'm studying a STEM degree and I live alone. On the other hand, it seems like peanuts, and being a contractor, I don't get health insurance, a payslip, nothing. They don't provide the equipment either.
I like that it's remote and without a fixed schedule, but the pay is really low. I'm looking for opinions. Is it normal for them to pay so little to Latinos, I guess? It's a huge company. By the way, if you've worked on something similar and want to share your experience, I'd appreciate it.
