The kind of comfort you want all comes down to internal build more than outer feel. Start by checking the frame. If the frame isn’t kiln-dried hardwood or aluminum at the least, I’d avoid it. Strictly avoid particle boards. They won’t hold up, no matter how thick the cushions are. Then, look for things liek 8-way hand-tied springs or sinuous spring systems. For foam density at around 1.9 lb/cu ft or higher, ideally with a down-wrap or memory layer on top if you want softness that doesn't collapse. You can always ask if the seat cushions are reversible and whether the covers zip off. That’ll help you wash them easily.
