Hi guys,
When rebooting my laptop, if it's connected to a display (which it literally is 100% of the time), it gives a beep error code of 8 beeps, then repeats a couple times until it fails to boot. This is unfortunate as I don't use this PC as a laptop anymore. It is always connected to a display. Temporary fix is to unplug the display from the laptop before rebooting, but I'd prefer to not have to do that. Any ideas on what this issue is or how I can fix it? My google skills are failing me.

Hi there **removed**, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.
When you start your Dell laptop can you still see the Dell logo?
We need to run the hardware diagnostics to see which hardware fails on your laptop.
Please turn off your laptop.
Then turn it back on.
As soon as you power it back on press the F12 button on your keyboard repeatedly to pull up the Boot options.
Once you are in the Boot options choose Hardware Diagnostics or Diagnostics and press enter.
Let the diagnostics run and finish and take note of the hardware error it will give you.

I have an old Inspiron N4050 and the screen is broken, the laptop works fine but I wanted to remove the lcd and use it without one (like a desktop) but when I unplug the LCD the laptop keeps beeping 8 times despite outputing to a vga monitor with no issues, is there a way to disable it?
Thanks in advice
