Just got it a couple days ago and was wondering what yall run on this nifty little guy. What works better/worse than expected. Will mostly be cleaning grimy/rusty mating surfaces, removing old gasket material, etc but any and all use cases or ideas welcome.

I recently got the Milwaukee m12 right angle die grinder and am looking for some basic accessories that i can buy locally. The big box stores don't seem to have many options.
To get started I'm looking for 2 inch disc abrasives. I know Roloc TR style is the standard, but are there reasons to go with other options, and where can I find them besides online retailers?
Also, who sells grinding stones locally that don't explode during use?

For both discs and stones check and see if there is a industrial distribution business (like Grainger or Fastenal) in your area or welding supply shops, they will have better pricing that box stores and better options. I once saw a "starter pack" of scotch bite discs at a box store (3 grades, 3 sizes, 3 of each of those, so 27 discs total) for $34.99, at the time i was in the industrial distribution game and we sold those same discs for between $.27 and $.35/ea There are three primary types of fastening for discs to pack up pads but roloc has become the standard due to cost of production and ease of use. Just go with it.

No idea where "local" is for you... Poke around for a place that supplies the local paint/body shops, any engine rebuilders, or machine shops. Around my "here", one such location is a Napa store located at one end of a large Napa warehouse, and they stock a lot more of that sort of thing than the usual Napper. As others have noted, Fastenal and Grainger or maybe even MSC have local presences in a LOT of places.

December 29, 2023 - It’s not what you want to hear, but unless anybody else has found different, I think the only way to go is to buy good quality burrs, stones, Roloc’s, whatever from a reputable supplier (I use a few, but MSC are good) and build your own “kit” I’ve seen kits of different stones, and obviously sets of burrs are common, but I’ve never seen mixed kits, as all this stuff comes from different manufacturers. Buy yourself a compartment box and fill it as you go. One cautionary note - good die grinder accessories are expensive, but poor ones are frustrating, and can be dangerous.
