Is $600 too much for a BP John dining table and 6 chairs?
It's hard to answer this question. If you take the 'collectibility" out then I would say it is certainly NOT worth $600 as you can get a nice usable set of generic dining furniture for much less. But it's sort of impossible to separate the two and you say that you like the design so I would then say that $600 for a dining table and 6 chairs from a documented designer is more than reasonable.

I am in search of an expandable dining table that goes from a 2 seater to 6 seater. I’ve seen ones that go from 2 to 12 seats, but the space I am in is smaller and the likelihood to seat 12 is very low.
I found one (https://resourcefurniture.com/products/goliath?utm_medium=organic&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=gbp) it’s really nice, the price point is tough. I’d love to know if anyone knows of a similar or other concepts and under $3k.
