August 27, 2022Kohler faucets not what they used to be. Plastic everywhere.
All the brands are crap and designed to have you buy the whole damn thing once a plastic part dies. You can't buy the thing the sprayer hose sits in, although they are so poorly built they will crap out 3 times before the faucet does, instead you are supposed to buy the whole hose assembly for $100, At least until they stop selling that too because it's 1 year out of style. But hey, the CEO got another x million in stock options this year for squeezing more profit out of fucked over consumers.
Sorry, I guess I'm feeling a little cranky before my coffee.

Where do I buy a replacement aerator for my Kohler faucet that is discontinued? I tried to look up the part but they want you replace the entire sprayer attachment (1191725), which isn’t available anymore. Can I buy a replacement or will I need to replace the entire faucet?

If you're in the Philly area there's a place called Baarco that has EVERYTHING, but if you're not, you're kinda screwed! That's what's so insanely frustrating about Kohler, while they offer gorgeous plumbing fixtures they often discontinue a lot of them and once they discontinue a fixture, they stop making replacement parts and once they're gone, that's pretty much it... You're out of luck! Your best bet is to just go to a plumbing supply with a kitchen and bath showroom and replace your fixtures with MOEN products. MOENs guarantee is second to none and their replacement parts are free through them or available literally everywhere, but DO NOT purchase their products from Home Depot or Lowe's because no matter what you pay, it's all builders grade... The difference between a showroom MOEN and a Home Depot product is the amount of plastic.
