So, back when I did this offer, it was only $200 for $25k and I'm not sure if they've changed the terms & conditions, but back when I did it, the only requirement was to deposit said amount, and you didn't need to hold the entirety of thy funds through the eligibility period. That was part of what made the Discover savings bonus unique. You could just deposit and withdraw. People even found a way to meet the requirements without technically depositing the full amount at once (look up "cancel trick" ... not sure if it still works). I feel cheated by Discover bank. Within 10 days of opening up my new/first time Discover bank savings account, I deposited $25k from an external bank. 30 days later Discover deposited $150 into the savings for account promotion. The account promotion was $150 for $15k or $200 for $25k. I called Discover bank and they told me they see that I added $25k into my new savings within 30 days but they will have to do research and it will take 3 weeks. $50 isn't a big difference but I earned it and it is the principle of the matter. Has this happened to anyone else?
