I just received my CSP recently, and I noticed the card can be used immediately without activation. Is this new to Sapphire ecosystem?? What safe guard do chase have to make sure the card is not used fraudulently??

I made a checking account with Chase, card was immediately active but showed up with an activation sticker. Now 2 days ago I signed up and got approved for their freedom unlimited credit card and immediately, the card was "ready to use". I haven't got it yet so I don't know if it has a sticker like the debit card.

But anyways, I'm just wondering why they are immediately active without me having to do anything?

Do you have to activate your card once you receive it in the mail. I have already made charges on it but in the Chase app they are still pending and not showing against my SUB.

I am a bit puzzled as to why Chase requires you to hit the activation button every quarter instead of just automatically implementing quarterly bonus.

My best guess is they want you to "acknowledge" the category within the time frame to avoid misunderstanding/complaints with bonus not properly posting, but not completely sure.

Anyone know why? Just curious.

I just got a chase card, and I ended up throwing out the sticker with how to activate it. Am I just screwed now? or is there a way to activate it without the sticker?

I recently received my new Chase credit card, but I’m currently traveling and haven’t had the chance to activate it yet. I’m worried about the possibility of my card being canceled if I don’t validate it soon.

Does anyone know how much time I have to activate the card after receiving it? Are there any risks of it getting canceled if I take too long? Any advice on what I can do while traveling to ensure my card remains active would be greatly appreciated. I'm back home within one month

I just received my replacement Chase Amazon Visa credit card because I lost the previous one. The letter that came with the card indicated that the card is ready to use and “you no longer need to verify your credit card.”

My question is this: why is verification no longer necessary? Anyone could have just opened my mailbox, stolen this credit card before I get it, and actually use it! Why is Chase no longer requiring verification? That seems bizarre to me. Can anyone provide some insight?

Please excuse me, I haven’t gotten a new credit card in about 3 years.

Just received my CSR and US Bank Reserve today.

I remember back then you’d call the number on the sticker to activate. I see neither of these 2 cards have that. It just tells me to download their apps, and in the app I see my cards and credit limits, but I see no option to “activate” cards.

Does that mean it’s already activated? Is that how it is now? No more phone calls needed?

I just wanna make sure they work before I actually try using them. Thanks.

Can someone explain to me why Chase would mail a "live" credit card and not require any authentication or controls to prevent fraud???? My credit card was apparently stolen in the mail, and I have no clue why Chase would not require secure activation measures before its use!! How stupid.

It didn't say anything about that in the envelope it came in.

Hey all, I’m a 21 year old student planning on graduating in the fall. I’ve never had a independent credit card before, I always just preferred the convenience of knowing how much you can spend with a debit card. As of now, I have 2 (kinda 3) bank accounts. My primary bank is with a local credit union in my area. My secondary bank is a BofA bank account I co-own with my roommates for the specific purpose of allowing us and our parents to put money into so I can pay our bills. I also have an old account with my hometown credit union but I’m planning on closing that since I never use it.

Now, I am an authorized user on one of my parents Chase cards (they have a few and a very, very good history with Chase), and I use this card a lot while in still college. It has a perfect payment history on it, which makes my Experian FICO score about 710, and my Equifax score is about 704. I applied for a Chase Freedom Rise card back in October, and never heard back from them. Not even mail telling me if I got it or not. Through a lot of holiday hours at my part time job, and well as Christmas cash, I have a good amount of money to open up another bank account, and im thinking about opening one up with Chase. I’ve heard that it noticeably increases the chances of getting the Freedom Rise Card.

Is it worth it to open up another bank account to get the credit card? Or should I look for different student cards instead of a Chase one, since I’m not sure why I got declined on my last application?

I am expecting a delivery card from chase due to my own card being effected by fraud, and now a chase rep said I can get a new one in 2 days and today is the second day. For some reason I can't use my new card I didn't get yet on samsung pay and apparently it says it suspended. So when I get my card through the mail, must I call a rep to open it or? I just don't want to wait in a long call line again

Approved and received new credit card. When trying to create a new account and activate the card, the system does not recognize the card number. Called to try and activate and again, does not recognize the card. Called customer service, verified identity and now they said they need to do a security check and get back to me. What the heck is going on? If they don’t want me to have the CC, why approve me in the first place. Anyone else had this experience?

The rideshare benefit for Chase United cards is now live. To activate, you must either go to the card benefits section in the Chase app, or call the number on the back of your card (no activation on Chase.com).

I don't use the Chase app, but installed it, only for it ask to upload a pic of my driver's license to log in (could be due to using a VPN). I uninstalled, called, got a rep in about 5 minutes, 2 minutes to activate.

The credit only applies to US purchases according to the rep, and comes as a statement credit. In time we'll see if it can be used for things actual rides on Uber or Lyft.

If you actually plan on keeping a United card with this credit, set a calendar reminder for January 1st, repeating every year, to activate the benefit again. Activation will be required annually, and its surely designed this way with the hope that people will forget to activate it and miss out on the credits ("breakage").

So I just opened a a checking account with chase I want a credit card bc of the chase point system i want to take advantage of it and start building good credit, there is no right time to start, start now. I already have a account with Wells Fargo and have had a credit card with them for around 8 months. I’m young I’m 19 hence the short time. But I was making research and I’m aware of the 5/24 rule and also you can apply only 2 every 30 days so I want to get it right. But yeah is there a certain amount of fundings or amount of spending I need to make? My credit score is pretty good it’s 726 with wells. But any advice would be good thanks

Want to apply to a Chase Freedom Flex, They offer a sweet 200$ bonus, but I dont have any banking history with them. Credit score is 830. Just wondering if i have to recieve a mailer from them to even get approved. UPDATE: Got approved with a $16,200 credit limit for Freedom Unlimited!
