PSA: Paypal Pay in 4 does NOT WORK for multiple items in an Amazon cart.
If you have multiple items in an Amazon cart, Paypal's Pay in 4 will draw out the huge 1/4-total payment out of your bank account, then only actually pay for the first transaction. They use a single-use card system that automatically declines on a second or any additional charges.
So, the first item is paid for by Paypal, then the remaining items in your cart will be charged to your regular payment method.
If that method is your bank, and if Amazon sorts the cart with the expensive items last, congratulations!.. Paypal just caused your bank account to be overdrawn by charging you a 1/4 payment and then entire cost of the expensive items at the end of the ticket.
Pay in 4 is a scam that does not function as advertised with Amazon. It is actively being pushed as officially working with Amazon but it does not.
Save yourselves the trouble and don't bother with Paypal Pay in 4 on Amazon.
(Paypal's Pay in 4 just charged me $350, then I was charged $1200 for a computer that I tried to buy with it that was autodeclined because it was in a cart with the warranty for the computer and some mouthwash. Fuck you, Paypal, and Merry Christmas!)
Amazon accepted the card, but I'm worried paypal will freak out because it doesn't charge until items are shipped and it says it needs used in 24 hours. Has anyone else used it on Amazon?
I'd like to purchase an Amazon gift card from Best Buy since they accept PayPal. It doesn't seem to specify in the terms that gift cards are not allowed. Can anyone confirm?
If not, is it possible to get the promo by getting a PayPal credit card and then checking out?
There's a graphics card I want that will only go on sale on Amazon and it's a lot of money...
I've checked the terms of the offer and also the general rewards agreement, and this does not seem to be prohibited but this is a big risk since gift cards aren't refundable
Anyone have experience with this? I know Amazon doesn't accept Paypal directly, but I added my PayPal debit card just fine. I want to buy something , but want to use the Pay in 4 option ( never approved for Affirm ). I've used Pay in 4 lots of times and really like the flexibility. I was wondering after I hit Pay Now On Amazon, will it just deduct it from my paypal account all at once or take me to the PayPal checkout page?
