Ther is a way to add wireless charging to an iPhone 7 but switching all the internals into one of the cases on dhgate.com. If you search for wireless charging housing iPhone 7 you will find them. A YouTube did a video about them recently on the iPhone 6s. Strange parts also sells their own housing but it does not have the apple logo on the back.

So I recently got a wireless charging pad. I also bought that wireless receiving charger. So I attach the receiver to my charging port and hide it behind my apple silicone case and put the phone on the pad. It was charging. But I came back after a while and the phone was super hot. What caused that and is it safe?

if I'm right, there is typically a lot of heat lost thru induction charging so I guess it's normal? but I would imagine high heat doesn't do e battery much good...
