So my account has been flagged for review by security and they're asking for a photo of me holding my ID. Has anyone encountered this problem using this website? I don't feel safe giving them a photo of my face and ID when i've already given them my bank infromation. For the record all I've done is made an account and I haven't been able to purchase anything.
Edit: Ok so I sent them the photo of me and my ID and nothing has happened so far and I was able to make my purchase so they seem pretty legit
2nd Edit (August 25, 2025): Still nothing has happened to my account. Pirateship seems to be legit

I've been using them since 2018 and LOVE them. Just with UPS I've saved several thousands of dollars shipping stuff internationally. As for the photo ID thing - I wouldn't worry about it. They are a legit site.

From what I’ve seen, shopifys labels have been the same price as pirate ship. Although I’ve only compared a few different shipments

Get the pirate ship app added to your store. Not only is it quicker to use than shopifys system but Shopify will randomly prevent you from creating shipping labels for several days if your product sells well

Heard about this on the Clark Howard radio show (the watch your wallet guy). Not sure if a link is allowed, but it's literally called Pirate Ship - online software that gives small shippers a discount on UPS and USPS shipping rates. The account is free and no subscription fees. Also has integrations with WooCommerce and other platforms.
Is this too good to be true?
