May 27, 2023 - I was gonna say it was weird they would hire as old actor as Harris because the film series would take like 10 years to make, but then I looked into it and both acotrs were about 70 when they took the role. Harris was unlucky ... I bet the first one would have nocked out the more serious dumbledore too. I keep seeing the point out there "Dumbledore 1 for fun, Dumbledore 2 for serious," but I totally agree with you- Harris probably would've handled late-book Dumbledore well and it just would've been "different" in his own way.

Yeah they changed because the person who played Albus Dumbledore in the first and second movie died before the third movie so was replaces by Michael Gambon (sorry if I spelled the name wrong) ...
