Dyson V8 battery replacement -- help me decide?
I don't have a suggestion for a 3rd party replacement but advice for when you do replace your battery. Do not charge your battery immediately after using! You need to let it cool down first. I went through my original battery within the warranty period. Dyson sent me a new battery free of charge and I only charge it when it gets completely or almost completely discharged and after it's cooled down for several hours. It's been about 5 years and it's just starting to wear out. More on reddit.com

We've got a Dyson V8 Absolute that now only works for a short while before the battery dies, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Is it recommended to get an actual Dyson brand battery, or are there any safe (less expensive) options available?
