Hi, Follow on post from yesterday,
I have a Dyson Big Ball CY23 Animal for which the filter housing lid on the cyclone, which also doubles up as the handle and the clip that keeps it locked in the upper body of the base, is broken.
I phoned Dyson UK and they do not sell the clip separately but want £55 for a brand new cyclone, which seems crazy from a sustainability point of view.
I’m scouring eBay to see if I can pick one up on eBay as it’s only the lid I need, and I can see that other Big Ball model cyclones are available, eg. Big Ball 2, and/or other models CY28 etc.
Just wondering if these models all fitted into with the same base? In which case my options would open up to buy one in the cheap, and best case scenario I could have a newer model cyclone.

If it helps, the part number Dyson quoted me was 967551-03, there seems to be several versions of this with different last two digits, and this one doesn’t match the colours of mine either (!)
