Hey all,
I've never owned/used a dyson before, but the cyber monday deals are enticing me. Theres a deal for the V11 for just $280, meanwhile the V15 is $499. How do they compare?
Thanks.
Update: I ended up buying the V15 detect on Dyson website for $499 instead. I activated rakuten and got 15% cash bAck. essentially paid 499-75=424 (pretax) lol I wanted more of the updated technology
I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews for the Dyson V11 and Dyson vacuums in general recently. eBay currently has refurbished V11s going for $280 with a two year warranty.
I’m curious what this group thinks about the vacuum at this price? Does anyone here have experience with eBay refurbished products as well as the V11?
Thanks!
*Edit We have mostly hardwood and the biggest cleaning issue is dog hair (especially on the couch)
Costco will have v11 at $500 later this month vs Dyson has v15 posted for $650.
I do want to buy the laser fluffy for the Dyson v11. So, after everything is done for both should cost the same more or less.
Costco has a phenomenal return policy kind of forever no question asked, vs I would get the latest gen from Dyson.
Which option would you recommend?
I have the opportunity to buy either one of the new Dyson V11 modes at $100 off retail.
So, the animal for $479 and the torque drive for $579.
I’m leaning towards the animal but my research on this sub shows people universally panning the v11. Why is that?
Should I get the v10 for $380?
My use will be for mixed hardwood and carpeted floors in a 1 br apartment with a dog that sheds moderately.
It's not worth it. The V11 simply isn't a good enough machine for what it costs.
You could buy practically any plug-in model in Dyson's lineup, which will outclean and outlast the V11 by miles. Not to mention lasting more than 20 minutes on a charge.
Or you could even buy something like a SEBO, Miele, or Oreck which will probably work even better than the plug-in Dyson models.
I would definitely get the v7 with a HEPA filter or the V8 . The V11 and V10 are just too heavy and awkward. My review on the Dyson v11 https://youtu.be/6Vd4DJDmJk8
Hello, everyone! This Black Friday, I decided to put some time into researching Amazon deals and spotting the ones with hiked up prices. I’m currently looking into deals for Dyson vacuum cleaners and found some ACTUALLY legit ones after digging for a while. I’m sharing the list here in case someone might find it useful!
Dyson V11 Origin Cordless - $399 (from $629)
Dyson V9 Motorbar Cordless - $269 (from $599)
Dyson V15 Detect Plus - $599 (from $849)
Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum - $249 (from $299)
Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum - $329 (from $539)
This is all I’ve found so far but I’ll research more and update the list. I’m not affiliated with Dyson, I just enjoy researching deals and summarizing them. I hope this was useful :)!
If you might know the history of Dyson V11 coupon timing, or if you know that they are random and not really predictable, that info is also appreciated. Thanks for any info
Hi community,
I had been looking for a cordless vacuum cleaner, and I stumbled across a used Dyson V11 Absolute Extra (purchase year 2021) for my small apartment.
All the attachments are there, and it looks good based on the pictures. But I will be checking it out in the next days about its battery health/run-time on different modes. I have been able to negotiate the price to 150€. Do you think this is a good deal?
What should I watch out for? Looking forward to your responses. Thank you!
All we have is a second hand Dyson DC34, which is really only good for spot cleaning, and my wife is getting sick of the dog hair everywhere, especially the rug and bedroom carpet (everywhere else is uncarpeted, but we'd still like to vacuum that, if that's a thing??). She knows a cleaning lady who swears by her Dyson V11, but I've briefly searched here and it seems that people in general recommend to steer away from Dyson. I would've been fine with Dyson if it was a $100-$200 thing (more towards $100 though) but the fact that we're talking about a $450+ vacuum, well I'd rather just get a more BIFL brand and model based on what I've read.
Other things I've heard about the V11 is that it's a fine secondary vacuum but not really great for your main "deep cleaning" vacuum. And considering we don't have anything great, I'd like to get something solid first, even if that means it's not a sleek cordless unit.
Any other insights or recommendations? Should we steer clear of the Dyson V11 or what are your thoughts?
Budget - $400-$500 is the number in my head, but not stuck on anything if it's BIFL and a life changer.
Flooring types & other cleaning needs: dog hair, some carpet + rug, and hard wood
Anyone buy this from Costco? It’s $180 off currently and wondering if its worth the $400. Does it do good on carpets?
Just grabbed one @ my warehouse. They had a Display near the registers and also in the normal aisle w vacuums. Probably gone by now but good luck. FWIW I am returning a v8 animal+ due to too short battery life (1400sq ft house). Just gave the v11 a trial run, super impressed well worth it. TLDR; v8 for apartments, v11 for house.
u/andreyred, I have the v10 for over a year now, gotta say, it was an upgrade from my previous one, but not so awesome having to clean every time you use it. I have a cat (12 lbs) and a dog (50 lbs), they shed in a scale 0 out of 10, a 6, but blockages of airflow are very common, I would say they happen at least twice a month. If it is worth the 400... depends on what you have right now, I would say give it a go, see if you like it, Costco returns are pretty easy, and Dyson's do not get so worse after a while.
