I recently acquired a Dyson V8 Motorhead Origin for $40, second hand. It works, aside from a broken dustbin latch and being absolutely caked in dust.
I decided to take it apart with the help of some YouTube tutorials and I cannot help but ask… why are there so many different chambers in the cyclone assembly? What are all those little channels doing?
Also, side-question that doesn’t need an answer; despite all the gaskets up there, every single different chamber was absolutely coated in caked-on dust. Is this expected? Or is there a leak somewhere?
