Eclipse IDE need to be saved from death ... don't you agree?
Why so many of you hate Eclipse IDE?
Honestly I just dislike the UI, after using VSCode, Visual Studio or Qt Creator, whenever I'm forced to use Eclipse it feels like the stone age.

Obviously our beloved eclipse IDE is trapped in an ugly state.
what do you think is the problem?what do you think should be changed to save this platform?
EDIT:
what i personally think are the problems with Eclipse Platform:
it's trying to be looking like a native app, so it has many platforms to fulfill , mac, windows, linux ---> this led to low quality implementation and inconsistencies in all those 3 platform, vs Intellij which has employed ugly looking Java Swing and converted into an amazing looking variant of plain Swing, so it has single look and feel across all 3 platforms --> beautiful, consistent, less prone to errors because of native UI differences of these 3 platforms. this uglyness is the singular most probable reason for people not getting attracted to this amazing platform.
another reason would be plugin inconsistency and failures during installation, and the never ending battle of dependency hells, maybe because of the lack of moderation ( but i may be wrong) ( most probably due to lack of budget )
eclipse main line products like eclipse J2EE, CDT, ..... should have 2 variants, one completely free, the other with paid support and or more polished features. like what they have in intellij community edition vs intellij ultimate ----> so the developers can get some money , and this money can improve the quality of the products and also the life of the developers.
I think Eclipse has come a long way in last the couple of years . I especially really like the native Eclipse CTD environment. The editing experience is really nice and with a lot of nice features, from automated comments and code blocks to really sophisticated search features. Also CDT is making it really easy to start and configure new projects with its build systems. These are not even a scrap of the surface of all the other helpful features for Embedded development that Eclipse offers.
Of course there are some other Eclipse based IDEs from various vendors that can make the development experience to suck. However I would still gladly use these instead of a dumbed down editor. I.e. such an IDE is Vitis from Xilinx (however I think this one could be excused as it is relatively new)
So, I really do not get it why so many of you hate it with such a passion...
