My best friend was just engaged on Friday and has asked me to be her maid of honor 😭😭😭. They are probably getting married on New Years. She has decided she wants a dark/emerald green gown, preferably with sleeves but that’s not a deal breaker. Beads and lace are a plus. We are struggling to find plus size formal wear that’s worth a damn!

Green will look great with a nice pink, purple, or blue. I personally dislike yellows and oranges but I suppose they could look good too depending on your skin tone. Black would also look great but a word of caution: some people still subscribe to the “Wearing black at a wedding is taboo” superstition… I personally think black is great on everyone and should be acceptable… consider the bride and groom, and whether they strike you as a “superstitious” couple More on reddit.com
