JUST WORDS! has a wide range of dictionaries and word lists in QTYP dictionary and simple text formats.

A number of new lists, based on 6 "advanced learner's" ESL dictionaries, have been added. The sources are reasonably balanced between American and British English. The link below references an alphabetized list of English words produced from a number of texts available free on the net. Since the sources were ASCII, the result is ASCII.

Mieliestronk's list of more than 58 000 English words · THIS list was compiled by merging different word-lists. The British spelling was preferred and American versions deleted. We have used it in crossword compiling (together with a programme) with much success.

To add a word list, say with identifier x, put the word list (one word per line), into a plain text file x.txt in the raw_data directory at the root of the repository.
