Reclining sofa that's aesthetically pleasing

I want to buy a new recliner or reclining loveseat. I'm trying to figure out what fabrics are best for my situation:
I want it to look good (i.e. not look cheap).
It needs to be comfortable as I normally use it ~3 hours/day.
I need to be able to clean it. I have a pet cockatiel that likes to hang out on the headrest. She has runny droppings with actual liquid urine. I put pillowcases on the headrest to catch all this but the urine smell eventually soaks through and I need to deodorize the area once in a while.
I like the idea of leather but read that while it doesn't hold in odors, cleaning it can be difficult. I'm also worried about softness. I read semi-aniline leather might have a good balance of comfort and stain resistance.
What are your thoughts on using leather in this case? If not, what fabrics should I be looking at?
Budget would be in the $800 - $3K range for something that's high quality and will last a long time. I'm in the US.
What are peoples' experiences with different fabrics when it comes to comfort, pet odor resistance & clean-ability, especially when it comes to leather?
I'm hoping to find something that will last the next 15-20 years.
