To the 90s Knicks fans, how did it feel? Please I just finished reading about them and want to discuss with people that were there!!!
90s Knicks made me love basketball. To most fans in my circle they were beloved, we loved their D and identity and never really bashed their offense. I hated Jordan Bulls most cause Ripped my heart out so many times. Reggie was second most hated. There was way way less hate for your own team pre social media. I felt at least in my circles we were Knick positivity in a way that will never exist again. Charles Smith memorial helped ruin my childhood and what could have been one of the greatest sport watching moments I shared with my dad. This team gives me the feels like I haven’t had since those days. I stay riding with this squad till the wheels fall off More on reddit.com

In The 1990s, The New York Knicks Fought Everyone — Even David Stern | FiveThirtyEight
January 18, 2022 - The Knicks were a bit rough around the edges, to put it mildly. Oakley, a player whose high school coach demanded he play football to develop more physicality on the court, was perhaps the NBA’s roughest player in one of its roughest eras.

November 16, 2020 - Here’s how the two players did in 1992-93: -Smith (age 27): 14.9 PER, 6.6 WS, .146 WS/48, 1.2 BPM, 1.8 VORP · -McDaniel (age 29): 16.3 PER, 4.4 WS, .096 WS/48, -0.1 BPM, 1.1 VORP · Neither were overwhelmingly great. The Celtics gave X-Man a three-year deal worth about $7.4 million (plus two option years) to replace the retiring Larry Bird. The interesting back story is that the Knicks had a large amount of cap space ($14 million) and wanted to use it to get another key player before signing McDaniel.

September 5, 2025 - As it were in the grind-it-out late 90s and early 2000s, he was still pretty darn good. If fans today know Bill Bradley at all, it may be as a former U.S. Senator. However, before that, the 6-foot-5 Princeton grad was a key cog on the two Knicks championship teams of the early 1970s. Bradley wasn’t just a role player for Red Holzman, though.
