I don't understand what these numbers correspond to in the sizing chart? Is it the average of the sizes? I'm a little confused
Looking at buying my first NHL jersey. Have seen on this subreddit that the Adidas jerseys were usually preferred over the Fanatic jerseys. However this sizing is confusing me. According to the picture from the NHL shop website below, a 3XL in Adidas only has a 27.5 inch chest width? That seems outrageously small, the size for the Fanatic jersey seems normal/typical of a 3XL size. I did have issues with Adidas soccer jerseys not fitting over my shoulders and chest before, so I'm tempted to believe the chart and just buy a Fanatic jersey. It just seems odd that the chest measurement on the Adidas would be almost half the size of the Fanatic jersey, so I wanted to check if anyone has experience with both brands.

What is a Breakaway jersey?
I just received a Fanatics NHL jeresy. It's a XL and I wanted it more fitted. Would going down to a L be too small? I'm 5' 10 around 225lbs. I typically wear XL shirts, and even in Nike NFL jeresy I wear a XL and love the fit. I know hockey jerseys are typically bigger fitting.
I just worry I'm going to send it back for a L size and it be too small. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm going to ask for VGK jersey for Christmas. It will be my first ever hockey jersey, so I'm a n00b. I am however, an avid football and baseball jersey collector. Mediums always fit me in those sports jerseys. I assume hockey would be the same, but based on what research I've done it's inconclusive.
Can anyone tell me how Fanatics jerseys fit, small, TTS, or big?
Quick question... Anyone with both know whether a Fanatics Breakaway Large fits similar to Adidas Authentic 52 Large? OR If I wear a Fanatics Large should I get an Adidas Authentic 50 M? Thank you for your time!
For those of have an adidas authentic jersey, how is the fit? Do you wear the same size jersey you do in a t-shirt? I typically wear a size L t-shirt and wasn't sure if I should go with the size 52 jersey which seems to correspond with size L, or if I should size down to the 50.
Hey everyone!
It’s been ages since I bought a hockey jersey and no stores locally are carrying them for me to try on.
I’m not looking for anything crazy authentic, and it’s just for wearing to games I’m watching, or around the house. Thus the fan styled “Fanatics Brand Breakaway Jersey.”
I’m 6’0, and float between 200-220lbs (don’t judge lmao). What size would be good for me if I like it somewhat fitted? Don’t want it to be super tight, but I also don’t want to be swimming in it.
Bonus points if you can give me a recommendation for jersey size in gear as well!
Thanks in advance!
Most team stores have their jerseys available this morning.
Just thought I would share this so people have it as the transition from Addidas to Fanatics happens. Jersey sizes are a bit different so I hope it saves a headache for someone. Got it off the NHL thread.
Hi All,
Looking to purchase an Adidas hockey jersey from "Fanatics" link below just wondering if anyone has feedback on sizing as I normally buy med-large t-shirts and hoodies but by the measurements it seems that the small would be ideal. I just don't want to float in it.

Thanks in advance!
Looking to buy my first jersey and as someone who is between two sizes I'm not sure which way to go. I've read that hockey jersey's tend to be baggier so I'm thinking I should go with the smaller size so I'm not swimming in it. How did you find the sizing to be?
TIA!
