Fire Pit Bowl replacement?
Fire pits are like $50 at Home Depot. Unless you find someone selling one used online you will be just as well off buying it brand new.

You could pull off all of the capstones and recut them so they only hang a little bit on the edge. Then use construction adhesive the kind used for capstones on retaining walls, that is what should have been used for this. It's not ideal but you can get a masonry blade for an angle grinder and cut out the semi circle pattern on the capstones. Use a large piece of cardboard to make a concave template of the fire pit. You are going to have to cut the top and bottom of each stone, as long as you score both sides you can snap it off and hide any imperfections under the insert.

whoever built this, more of the top hangs off the sides than is attached to the base. 6 years after moving in, 1 piece fell off last night. How/where can I find something more narrow with this exact circumference to replace the too cap stones?

I'd probably try and repair it if you're handy, or maybe try finding someone to repair it. Not sure if that'll be cheaper.
Not sure of the exact materials, but some rebar, hammer drill, and high temp glue-like (maybe concrete patch?) Should get it back on there.
