Honestly I think a tv stand or entertainment center would look really weird in front of the fireplace. Even if you got a large entertainment center that covered it from the front, it would still look odd from the side since it can’t be flush against the wall. I think what would look best is to mount the tv about the fireplace, the heat isn’t good for a tv but since you said you won’t use the fireplace anyway this shouldn’t be an issue. You can put some shelves or a bookcase to the side if you need storage and when you move you can always get an entertainment center to match what you have later. More on reddit.com

I have one (not this brand) for a few years now and we absolutely love it. I did not want the hassle of installing a fireplace.
