Found the solution myself lol If anyone needs helps, here it goes. Don't use the new FTB App from Overwolf. Instead, download the Curse Forge app from Overwolf and select minecraft and then the modpack you want to use (don't click install yet). Then click " versions " and select the most up-to-date Server Pack . In my case, The latest FTB_Academy didn't have a server pack but it still worked. I suggest saving the .zip to somewhere easily accessible since you'll need it to launch your server everytime. Then install the latest version of your modpack (the singleplayer version). Go to your .zip with the Server Pack and unzip. Open FTBInstall.bat and let it do its thing. It should close by itself once completed. Now open settings.bat in Notepad++ (or equivalent, just not the normal Notepad) and change the value after the "=" in "set MAX_RAM=" to the amount of RAM you want to give your server. I set it to "set MAX_RAM=12G" since I have 32Gb of RAM but more than 5-6Gb worked when I tested it with 3 players (just remember, the more players, the more RAM you'll need). Save and exit. Open ServerStart.bat and wait until a line says "You need to agree to the EULA to continue. Press any key to exit.". Do that and open the newly created eula.txt file and read the EULA on the website provided and then change the line from "eula=false" to "eula=true". Run ServerStart.bat again. When it's done (this depends on your modpack from what I gathered), you should have a file called server.properties where you can edit (guess what?) server properties! For now, simply close the ServerStart.bat and open server.properties with Notepad++. Search for "server-port=25565" (only change this value if you run multiple servers) and then do port forwarding to that port in your router. Open ServerStart.bat again and once it's completed this time, you'll have a fully working server (or should!). You can connect to your own server in minecraft using the ip adress localhost:25565 and go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/ find the adress your friends should use (if it doesn't work, they should add :25565 at the end).
