The mirror is about 4.5 pounds, and the wire should be able to hold over 20 pounds. The youtube tutorial that I watched had circular rings instead of triangular ones. The left side seems fine, but the right side made a very slight tearing noise (like paper) and rotated inwards. I'm a little concerned that it'll tear off. Rather than hang it and watch it shatter, is there a better way to do this?
I want to hang up my full body mirror in my college dorm room, but, of course i cant use any screws or anything that would damage the walls, anyone have any ideas?
I know this is nothing like all you you awesome DIY-ers you build fantastic things, but...
I'm part of a couple just starting out and insisted that having a mirror would be good (I got sick of only bein able to see my top half in the bathroom mirror! So I purchased a mirror a lot like this one, but from Big Lots, not Target. It just has a plastic frame, no hardware, and is sort of flimsy. I've been looking around online for ways to get this done and I've found a few interesting ideas, but they all seem to entail buying a lot more stuff (attaching the mirror to fence posts, etc.) or permanently affixing it to the wall. We're in an apartment, so I'm not all that into the idea of permanence.
Any help/assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated!
