So, my trusty Logitech G810 Orion keyboard that I've had for 8+ years has finally run its course it seems, keys are becoming loose and while I could just buy new keycaps, I figured I might as well "upgrade". So the question is, what is the "best" full size keyboard in 2025. I personally like the full size keyboards compared to compact and TKL. Budget can stretch to £150 if the keyboard is indeed worth it but of course the cheaper the better. Few keyboards I've looked into, Ducky Shine 7, Steelseries Apex Pro, Razer Pro Type. Would love to know other keyboards you guys would recommend
Edit: Recently purchased the Keychron Q6 Max. Pretty hefty purchase but this keyboard is so nice. Great build quality and feels so nice to type and game on
Looking for something around 100-120, definitely a full size as ive had one for years, and im looking for red cherry switches, Ive heard from a few people who know way more about computer stuff than me that they're some of the best. Im currently looking on Google but the results are super mixed and I can't seem to find what im looking for, any help is appreciated.

I am currently a gamer and writer, and I have to use my keyboard for atleast 10+ hours daily due my work. I am currently in the market for full sized keyboards but most good companies that I found here is most comment sections don't have any full sized ones, most of them have a TKL or 75 % or something along the lines of that. I saw Keychron, but other than that my options are something like corsair K70 or Razor or logitech. I already have a Logitech 915, but I am honestly not a big fan of this keyboard. Any good brands that look good and do full sized keyboard will be appreciated, thank you.
My budget is sub 300$.
My experience with mechanical keyboards have been pretty bad, TVS Bharat Gold, Red Dragon Kumara, Logitech G413, all horrible, unusable l within a year and broken within 2. Currently I am using a rubber dome Logitech G213, it’s a good keyboard, but it isn’t half as satisfying to use as blue switches. What would you guys recommend? I want a wired one, I wouldn’t mind something on the higher end, but I want something that hassle free.
I'm looking to buy a new keyboard with Cherry MX Reds for gaming and I want to know, should I get the full sized keyboard or the tenkeyless? I use the numpad but not a lot at all, maybe only 5%. I'm a gamer and I mostly play CS:GO pretty competitively.
Hello fellow Redditors,
I’m in the market for a new keyboard and could really use some fresh opinions.
Requirements:
Size: Full-size (100%) preferred, though 96% could also work since I use the numpad a lot.
Main use: Gaming – I mostly play CS2, FiveM (GTA 5), Escape from Tarkov, Delta Force, and other shooters.
Secondary use (optional): If it’s wireless with multiple connectivity options (USB dongle + Bluetooth), that would be great for switching between two PCs (Working laptop & Gaming PC) without needing a KVM switch.
Budget: Up to $200 if it’s worth it.
Material: I’ve only used plastic keyboards so far, but they’re a pain to clean. Any tips or experiences with other materials would be appreciated.
For context, I’ve been using a Redragon keyboard for the past 6 years. It’s been solid, but the switches are starting to fail (I just replaced A and D yesterday). So I’m looking for something new and up to the latest technologies and features.
I’ve already browsed Reddit and Google for suggestions, but I’d love to hear from people with real hands-on experience with their keyboards.
Thanks in advance!
On another post on this sub about the state of mechanical keyboards and the hobby, I made a comment about how my biggest complaint is that there is a severe lack of innovative full sized keyboards. That comment got a lot of traction, both from people who like me prefer full sized boards with a complete numberpad, and from those who prefer smaller boards saying that functions and layers are sufficient.
For me, they definitely aren't, I have a permanently broken finger that makes it really hard for me to touch type in the traditional sense, so I am not someone who always returns to the home row. That, combined with muscle memory, makes a number pad extremely important for me given I work with lots of spreadsheets and data.
There are some options of course, Keychron makes a lot. Ducky has them. Drop, etc. But I'm talking boards that really embrace the enthusiast side of this hobby. Like, my main board is a TKL, and I put up with the immense frustration of having to reach my hands up the board for the main number row, and how much slower it makes me as a result, because it feels and sounds so damn good to type on, and it has accents on it that makes it a statement piece on my desk too. I want those sorts of enthusiast options.
I understand that the market dictates the trends to an extent, and that group buys are catering to what most of the community seems to want. But I also think there's an understated group of us who really, really want some of the recent innovations and trends in the MK hobby to extend to full sized boards.
Anyone with me?
Hello! I’m sure there’s a ton of these posts but I know so little about keyboards it’s hard to get a grasp.
Basically, is there any recommended full size keyboards for gaming/general typing? I’ve been using a razer ornata chroma for like 6 years and need an upgrade. The main things I use it for are gaming and programming so as long as it feels nice and is responsive and all that I’m happy. Preferably under $200 if possible? Also a fairly minor note but if there’s a wrist pad included or purchased separately that’s a huge bonus
Thank you for any help!
Currently have a Ducky One 2 Mini but I’ve been wanting something full sized, was looking at a Logitech G915/G815 but unsure if either are a good keyboard, any recommendations would be nice.
Just out of quick curiosity, what keyboard would you normally use on your gaming build? The TKL gives more mouse space, but the Full Size Keyboard lets you have a NumPad, which is also useful for work and productivity. I own a Logitech PRO TKL and a Redragon K580 Vava full size keyboard. Both have done me well but just too hard to even decide on just one (currently using the former at the moment). Leave your suggestions in the comments!
What’s a good full size keyboard without a knob and screen?
Muscle memory has taught me that.
I wanted a smaller keyboard. So, I bought a Keychron K8 Pro. I really like the keyboard. But I was missing the numpad. I don't use a numpad often. But I do use it, I really want it.
So, next I went with a Royal Kludge RK96. It has a numpad. But it only has print and delete keys on it. I'm thinking to myself, I don't ever use Home, End, Page or Page Down. I'll be fine.
Well, I'm on week 2 of the RK96 and turns out I used those keys all the time and wasn't realizing it. As I was using various apps, I was instinctively reaching for those keys and they weren't there. I didn't realize how much I used them till they were gone.
So, I'm thinking of buying a Keychron K10 Pro now. Which makes no sense because I have plenty of full size keyboards around I can use.
Hi!
Latest video from the channel "DimonLobby Reviews" titled "DON'T Buy A New Keyboard Without Watching This Video!" made some claims that are surprising to me to say the least. I'm curious what you guys think of them
The quotes:
(0:36) 1. Under NO circumstances should you EVER buy a full-sized keyboard for gaming. The fact that manufacturers still make these is laughable. And they probably do so because they can charge more money
(0:46) 2. Numpads are for people who work in finance
(1:06) 3. ...as a bigger keyboard can often cause you to extend your arm outward, which isn't good for you
(1:10) 4. and I do see comments from people that say things like "oh I like a full-sized gaming keyboard 'cause I use it for work". Well, then you're looking for a work keyboard, not a gaming keyboard, you idiot
Am i the only one who prefers full size in this space? I had been using home, delete, insert, page up n down on daily basis.. And i had configured my num pad for macro keys for daily use as well.. hmm I tried aula f99 pro, i love rhe sound and keyboard feel, but i had been lost finding the home, end button.. aaaargh
Here is aula f99 pro, it is an awesome keyboard, typing test had been similar or faster but yeah those function keys are really hidden making it a drawback for me T.T
