Can any of you guys with buds 3 pro tell me how's your battery life? Cuz mine got to 50% (with ANC) just after 1h30mins. Just want to know if mine are the only ones with this problem.
Videos
soundguys got only 4.5 hours, I wanted to get them but I want the advertised 6 hours, what do you guys get on anc/ambianr
I wear earbuds every single day during work. I put them in at 7:00 a.m. everyday. Today was the first day for the buds 3 pro. The battery died at 1:00 p.m. and that's without ANC and low volume.
The best earbuds Samsung has ever made are the Galaxy buds Plus. With those I can put them in at 7:00 a.m. and they normally last till 5:00 p.m. everyday.
I can't really tell if my buds are having a battery issue or not. It seems like they go dead pretty quickly, although I haven't timed it yet so maybe I'm just overreacting. I got the July batch, so I'm slightly worried about having issues and I'm trying to make sure that I don't have any before my return date expires. Everything seems to work fine so far. No ripping ear tips, no sound problems, etc. Just seems like the battery goes dead kind of fast.

UPDATE: After 1 hour of listening to music on Ambient Sound mode, my battery for my buds have went from 100% to 80%.
2nd UPDATE: After 1 hour and 30 minutes, battery is now down to 72%
Hey guys, ever since the release of the new earbuds Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. I've seen posts that the battery drains quite fast than prev gen. I also see that one of the earbuds drain much faster than the other. Anyone experienced a decline in battery life?
I see pro and cons about the buds. What is the battery life? Is it better than buds2 pro? TIA
I am seeing people get about 5 hrs of playtime even with ANC and other features. Mine im getting about 3.5 to 4 hrs.
It even consumes (5% in 15 minutes) even if i turn off everything and just play music with 50% volume.
I'm really not sure if mine is defective. Some people says this is normal but checking with other people review and feedback they easily says 5 hrs with ANC on
What do you guys think?
I found that the ANC battery life is highly dependent on the environment that you're using them in.
In an office setting, where it's blocking out relatively low noise, I'll easily get 5 hrs.
I've used them during indoor sporting events where they were clearly working at max capacity, and have gotten more like 3.5hrs in those situations.
I've yet to use them on a plane, but my gut says I'll get around 4hrs in that environment.
Personally this is not something i usually focus on, but I can use mine for like 3 on calls and it would reach like about 60% which is not bad. I mainly use mind when I'm commuting so I don't use it till the battery drains. The only time these buds seen 20% is when I got them. The lowest I used them for was maybe 50%. Again I don't really check. I previously had the Buds Pro for about two years and battery was never once an issue, so I'm not worried about this newer model. The one time I almost had an issue with the Buds Pro was when I was sitting in the hot sun and the right side started beeping like crazy, I figured immediately it was overheating. So because of the knowledge, if I'm walking in the sun I tend to block my Buds 3 Pro with my hand from the side the sun is hitting it on
I can't get more than a couple uses our of these before I have to charge the case again. Why is the battery life so bad? Can someone help me?
Iโve been using the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro for a few days now and Iโm noticing something strange. With Active Noise Cancellation turned off, Iโm only getting around 2 to 3 hours of playback time. Thatโs way below the advertised 7 hours without ANC.
I donโt listen at full volume, and Iโve already turned off extra features like ambient sound and voice detection. Still, the battery drains fast. Firmware is up to date and I'm using the official case to charge them.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Could this be a defective unit or is this just how they perform in real-world use? Any suggestions or similar experiences would be helpful.
I've only been getting 5-6 hours of battery life with my galaxy buds 3 pro. Is that pretty typical? I'm deciding on whether or not to buy another pair from Samsung directly as the pair i have currently are from ebay.
Thanks!
Yup that's what I'm getting too
It's weird Samsung didn't display info on the box like their other older buds.
But Samsung states 7 hours of use with no anc. And 6 hours with ANC. But those claims are in a controlled state.
But yes, I get around 5-6 hours of ANC use. Those blade lights sure took up some precious battery space
I had a post about a day ago complaining about the volume and now I have another issue.
I just got it 3 days ago and the battery life is honestly worse than my 5 year old buds live.
From 88% to 70% in just 45 minutes or use with anc. Half of that time I didnt have anything playing.
So far I am having issues with software, voice detection just detects my voice and then when I stop talking, it never returns back to normal. Furthermore, 360 audio doesn't work, on or off it sounds exactly the same, adaptive NC doesn't work, it's just ambient sound. The different sound when anc is on vs off. The ear tips are terrible, painful, and are horrible quality.
Honestly I don't know what to do at the moment.
How much battery life does everyone get from the new Galaxy buds 3 pros? I feel like they don't last all day unlike the buds 2.
Using Buds3 (non pro) I'm getting ~6 hours of battery life, which is right around advertised. How long are yours lasting?
I got the buds3 (non pro) I get around 6 hours. With ANC on its closer to 5. So it's spot on for me.
Yea that sounds really short. Try get a full battery and play music without anc and nothing extra turned on.
If it still gets you only 3 hours there's definitely something wrong.
Is it just me or is the battery on the case not good? It drains fast and doesn't give multiple charges after single charge.
Got mine on the 17th, no issues with tips or quality so far.
It is advertised as ''up to 6h30m'' with anc off. Well I just used them for about 13 minutes of listening to music and it went from 100% to 95% with anc off. It was connected to my windows pc and volume level was set to 77 and the volume level on spotify app was at about 85/90.
Other settings that are turned on are: Voice Commands (although I don't use them) and Bass Boost is selected in the EQ settings and Adjust Sound to Fit. According to my calculations the buds 3 would last about 4 hours and 20 minutes if I were to listen to music without taking a break. Is this normal? If so, how can I improve it. I've read that turning off voice commands could help, might have to try that. Thanks
I saw they were on sale on Amazon so i bought them. However i believe mine to be defective. The case seems to have a really low battery capacity. Starting from the case and earbuds at 100% charge, after less than 10 hours of playtime the case dies. (ANC on) However i know it's not the ANC because whenever i check the earbuds they never dropped below 40%. So maybe like 200% battery has been used but it's advertised that its supposed to have enough for atleast 4 full charges, so like 400-500% battery. Is it false advertising or did i just get defective buds? I even reset them and updated them and the problem persists.
I've been using these headphones daily from 2025/07/10 with my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
I give them a 4/5 because they're good for calls; otherwise, I'd give them a 3+.
My opinion in short:
Definitely, due to their disadvantages (described below), they can't be called flagship or high-end headphones.
If I bought them for โฌ250, I'd probably return them because of the disadvantages, but since I bought them for โฌ125, I'll keep them because of the advantages. Maybe Samsung will at least fix the PC connection issue - it's a bit of an eyesore.
ADVANTAGES:
- the look, silver, is great (the lights are a gadget, but some might like them),
- the build quality is good (although someone already mentioned that the paint can wear off),
- the case is small, handy, and features inductive charging *(but... see the disadvantages),
- the headphones are comfortable, can be used for several hours without causing any discomfort, don't fall out of your ears under normal conditions, and fit snugly *(but... see the disadvantages),
- the sound is really good in my opinion. The bass isn't overpowering, but if you like it, there are pre-defined equalizer settings and an EQ for customization.
- ANC - great, it cancels out noise and surroundings very well,
- HearThrough - great, it actually enhances surrounding sounds,
- great for phone calls, it cancels out noise and surroundings very well; you can hold a conversation right next to a working drill or kitchen mixer (I'm not exaggerating; the recipient only hears your voice),
- headphone controls:
gestures and squeezing (volume control, play/pause, answer/end, etc.) - great, everything is intuitive,
voice control - great - great when your hands are wet/dirty/busy, there are commands in many languages, including Polish (play music, stop music, next song, previous song, increase volume, decrease volume, answer call, reject call),
- Wearable app - very good, everything you need is there (headphone/earbud fit test),
- headphone finding - ok,
- set up ok, the earbuds will fit most people, you can buy additional foam Comply and no-name earbuds, which will probably improve the isolation and comfort even more.
DISADVANTAGES:
- Poorly designed placement of the headphones in the charging case. When removing the headphones from the case, you have to rotate them 180ยฐ along the stick (probably the easiest way) to place them in your ears. Putting them back in the case is the same; you have to rotate them. Furthermore, placing the headphones in the case is very uncomfortable; they can slip out of your fingers. It would be enough if the lid opened a little more. This is very unergonomic; the engineers didn't put much effort into it.
- The headphones can fall out of your ears very quickly when moving your jaw, eating, or smiling deeply. You can buy additional wing tips, but the headphones don't charge with them; you have to remove them every time. Original wings, even small ones, on the headphones' housings would be useful.
- The headphones are not suitable for use with a PC. There's a bug. They pair without a problem, but after a while they don't connect. You have to delete them from the system and pair them again. This bug also disqualifies them from use, for example, for video calls (tems/meet, zoom, etc.). I tested them under Linux, openSUSE Tumbleweed, and Windows 11 64-bit. I've used many different TWS headphones with a PC and haven't had this problem so far, even with cheap headphones. There are several threads on forums where people describe this problem.
I've reported it, maybe Samsung will remove this bug from their supposedly flagship headphones.
- THEY GET VERY HOT during inductive charging. The case gets hot after charging, and I feel like it doesn't stop heating even after a full charge. I have other headphones with an inductive charging case, and they do get slightly warm while charging.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND INDUCTIVE CHARGING!!!

update 2025/08/06
new DISADVANTAGES:
- the earbuds need to be placed very carefully on the inductive charger. It only works in a specific place; it's best to move them very slowly across the charger until the charging LED lights up.
I tested them on two inductive chargers: one a 10W no-name charger, the other a 20W Xiaomi.
NOTE: I tested two other earbuds, and they can be placed almost anywhere and still charge.
Perhaps the inductive coil on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is so small that it barely reaches the inductive field.

update 2025/09/19 - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
From what I've read, the biggest problem people report is moisture resistance and related charging issues in SGB3Pro. I haven't had a problem charging the SGB3Pro so far, but I use other, more comfortable, over-the-ear headphones for exercising.
In fact, I've been following the topic and for the more than past 2 months, there hasn't been a single day without someone reporting this problem.
For some time now, I've been asking people to provide their manufacturing date, whether they use their headphones during sports, whether they're exposed to moisture, and whether they're experiencing charging issues.
It appears that the headphones manufactured in:
- 2024 have a manufacturing defect, likely poor sealing.
- 2025 do not have this defect.
If you have a model produced in 2024, be sure to read this:
