My experience: I got a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 a few weeks ago, and soon I noticed this problem. Every few minutes, a short cut of the sound happens. Sometimes it happens after 10 minutes, other times more frequently. The cut is a fraction of a second, but very noticeable. I could live with it, but it was annoying. I researched and noticed that many people had this issue. Following one suggestion, I check the Bluetooth audio codec of my phone (a Samsung A22 5G) and changed from AAC to a lower quality SBC (the only two possibilities, and the logic is that these buds were tested on the SBC coded, but I do not know what truth is in there), but (1) I do not think this solved it although it definitely reduced the problem, and I could not figure out more because (2) every time I connect the Buds it goes back to the AAC coded automatically. What I ended up learning: the issue is NOT in the Buds but in the phone (a Samsung too, which you would think it should work great together). How I concluded this: I connected the Buds to my Windows 10 laptop, and they were perfect. One hour testing non-stop. Not a single issue, great quality. Indeed, after some thoughts, I realized that the Bluetooth of my phone was already giving some connection issues after several updates. How Android updates tend to mess up things in your phone instead of making things better is a discussion for another day. But the conclusion is clear from my side: the Buds 2 were good all the time. r/galaxybuds on Reddit: Galaxy buds 2 sounds cutting out?
November 28, 2021 -

Just got them a day or so ago and they cut out all the time. I think it's probably a software problem as sometimes one ear cuts out and goes quiet or sometimes but cut out and it seems to change ears a lot.

The point is they are borderline unusable at this point because they do it every couple of minutes and I was wondering if should return them or not.

Edit: after trying a bunch of things and having nothing work I returned them to the store and got new ones. The issue has resolved

They don't cut out when there is sound but keep cutting out when there is no sound. It's almost like they go into power save mode after only a few seconds. Really annoying when I have alerts coming in on slack and teams.

r/galaxybuds on Reddit: Brand new Buds2 Pro cutting out constantly
February 7, 2023 -

I have a galaxy s22 phone and just picked up the matching bora purple watch5 and buds2 pro. Ive had buds+ for years and im honestly just really disappointed so far.

Im working on figuring out an EQ that sounds like the buds+ on dynamic but thats one thing. The real annoyance is that the buds are constantly cutting out. Not disconnecting, just cutting off for like 1-2 sec at a time but very often. It seems to be happening whenever I do pretty much anything on my phone - open my browser app, open my gmail app, recieve a notification, reply to a message via notification. The list goes on. It's ridiculous and I certainly don't want to keep headphones that I cant even use my phone while wearing.

Has anyone else had this issue? Do i just need to replace them?? I had my partner bring them to me after ordering from the US website but I live in Canada so now it's going to be a pain to deal with any exchanges or warranty issues....
