I love the Skirmish Raid battle. You need specific cookies to be able to do it. It is perfect for mid-long time players. But newbies who didn't have those specific cookies didn't like it.
Today I saw a post about one of the Faerie King mission about having trade boats returning to harbor 30 times. This game is 3 years old. I don't think it is too much to assume that the majority of the playerbase are long term players who already have 2 trade boats.
Lately, so many people are complaining about how the game is not fair for newbies. I promise you, most if not all gacha games are like this. You can't expect the game to cater to newbies for every single event. I don't know. Maybe I am the only one that feels this way.
I play this game like Clash of Clans, i have no complaints because i know I'll eventually get everything at a certain point, no need to rush :p so yeah, I'm probably just gonna up my buildings and then make my castle lvl 12 soon, probably after the event.
Yeah, the mentality of these players is they always want everything easily. It's normal to not get everything when you're new, just accept that there are still a lot to improve in your kingdom. Instead of complaining about it, just work towards improving so next event will be easier for you.
THERE IS NO SHOT THAT SO MANY WANT THEIR TEAMS BUILT SO MANY ARE ASKING FOR THE MOST BASIC INFORMATION, THAT SO MANY ARE ASKING QUESTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN ASKED BEFORE. I AM SICK OF SEEING THESE POST. THERE IS NO WAY NONE OF YOU LOOK AT THE MEGATHREAD. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU CAN GOOGLE SHIT, NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU KNOWS WHAT YOUTUBE IS. NOT EVEN A SINGLE BRAINCELL EXISTS AMO G YOU THAT REMEMBERS THE REDDIT SEARCH FUNCTION.
"Oh it's just a few posts, it's not that bad, just ignore them" THATS IS A BAD FUCKING MINDSET. THE MODS ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO FILTER OUT THE UNSEEN HUNDREDS OF POSTS ABOUT WHATEVER SHIT AND YET THERE ARE POSTS THAT MANAGE TO SLIP THROUGH. I SIMPLY CANNOT DO THIS. HOW CAN SOME OF YOU MAKE A POST BUT BE SO ILLITERATE TO NOT READ THE RULES, THE MEGATHREAD NOR ANY OTHER SOURCE OF INFORMATION.
maybe it's the megathread that needs some kind of overhaul maybe people need bright flashing lights to be attracted to posts that answer their question. I have no clue whats so hard about reading. I don't expect changes over night but this can't go on.
Maybe you guys see it differently and i am the one with the unpopular opinion but i simply had to get this off my chest. Enough is enough. Maybe you guys have something to rant about too.
(Despite my own opinion, please don't harrass the people in the pictures)
Looking at my progress for the past 25 days.
Everything is starting to become like a chore, The only thing i enjoy now is seeing my little unfinished layout. The only reason i played nightmare mode is to get the castle design.
I have nothing to do with my favorite cookies because most of them are not very useful
I guess the past few days I've spent playing this game has been... bittersweet
I love Wizard Cookie. He's one of my fav's, but I can kinda see why people hate him.
revisiting cookies is underrated and is something i'd like to see more of, for purposes of story/interaction and reinvigorating cookies for competitive/etc metas, mitigating the sore point of every new cookie being hot stuff when people are barely able to get them.
Bro I love Wizard!!! I also love Custard 3rd!!
My hot take is that the hypocrisy among the fans are laughable.
Case 1:
Person A say they ship Cocoa and ChocoMint. Reason is because they share a story and clearly have a relationship. Person B says they are just friends and will remain as friends unless canonically confirmed. But then Person B insists that WB and CC are gay and a couple because they are "a popular ship" and people who disagree are suddenly called homophobic. Same goes to Raspberry and Princess. We don't know Raspberry's sexuality. The closest we got was her "proposing" to Princess IN KNIGHT'S D R E A M! The absolute best conclusion from that is Raspberry might have feelings for female cookies, thats it. We don't know her actual sexuality. But the fans claimed that from that, Raspberry is a lesbian queen and anyone who disagree is homophobic. Suddenly canonicity doesn't matter. Suddenly, confirmation is not needed.
Case 2:
Cookie "skin" colour. I have seen people make a WHITE ESPRESSO and the community goes wild for "white washing". But when a person make Moonlight BLACK, suddenly the "skin" colour is just dough and people are open to their interpretations. I am not white and I am not black. Having cookies like Moonlight that is neither is awesome to me. The community's consensus on whether cookies' "skin" colour mattered or not has absolutely no basis and most of them are hypocrites
Ok, i'm going to say something that might piss off a ton of people but I don't care. I have been hearing this constantly non-stop and i'm sick of it. It has to do with the recent event which features Creme Brulee and Linzer Cookie and the event this time is limited like how it used to be in the past and is actually limited, no special episode or anything, once the timer is gone, that event also ends forever. On that note, I feel like I can kind of remake it when the event ends so that if people want to play it when it's over then they can. But that's not the point, what the point I want to make now is the event and story itself. Basically it's a visual novel like event where a murder takes place on a train and you have to solve it, as a fan of Ace Attorney and Danganronpa I love this event. The story is amazing, the mystery is intriguing and it's so satisfying when you solve a mystery with the right evidence and analyzing everything properly. Now that all sounds good right? Well I wished everyone else thought the same but no, they all ruin the fun of this event. How? Well you know how fans really only care about anything gameplay wise? I'm not joking, it doesn't matter how good a story is, as long as it has good rewards and good Cookies/Magic Candies, that's all they care about. Most people don't care about the story and I find that to be a flawed way of viewing any game especially a game like this because gameplay is not the only thing that defines CRK, the story does as well. It's unfair to judge an event solely based on the difficulty nor the new Meta changes alone and unfortunately, you might as well consider that the case for this event. Even if the event isn't over yet, people have already resorted to looking up a guide and basically getting all of the answers without trying to put two and two together, one person even called the questions bad. There's even a video literally days after the event just got released which acts as a guide to anyone and if you're wondering what video am I talking about? I won't show it here, I won't link it nor mention the title or anything because it would be hypocritical to do so.
Now onto the main point that I want to make, I hate that. Genuinely, people are constantly doing this and at this point you might as well just know the whole story from going to this Reddit alone. I actually limited my Reddit usage because I am currently in Chapter 4 and don't want to be spoiled. Most of the fans are ruining the fun of the event and i'm sick of it, what makes this even worse is that people are calling the event bad based on not playing the event properly. What's so hard about reading the dialogue (that you can look back at btw) and analyzing the evidence you are given to actually answer the questions that you are given? And don't give me the argument that people don't usually read the dialogue in these events, that doesn't make it any better. I guarantee you that if you actually take the time to read and understand all of the mysteries and problems then you will have no problems understanding and enjoying the mysteries. For my personal experience, since I actually know how to answer these questions, I didn't look for the direct answers and just took the time to read and enjoy the mysteries. As much as i'm a fan of Ace Attorney and Danganronpa, I never played a single game, I just watched the gameplay on Youtube so actually playing one for the first time got me excited. You want to know how many times I looked up a guide because I didn't know what to do? Only one time, in the final question of 2-2 and that's it, every other time whenever I solved the mystery, I felt accomplished and proud and it sucks that people don't feel the same. Seriously it's not that hard if you actually understand it.
And i'll just say this rn, I plan to remake this entire case in Objection Lol. which is a website where people can make fanmade Ace Attorney content and will remake the whole thing to a tea. It will be released probably after months so hopefully people will forget the case by then and actually experience the whole thing properly. And I really hope people do so as well, I don't want to waste months of effort for nothing. And if you really don't know what to do even if you have the dialogue options to look back at, the evidence to all analyze and even a hint if you lose, come to this post or come to me and I will help you. I will not give you the answers to keep the mystery but I will give you hints so that you can better answer the questions. Please, everyone stop looking at guides and try to enjoy it yourself.
TLDR; I hate the guides and hate that this event gets for not trying it out yourself, please come to me for help if you want more hints and not direct answers.
Overall, this is honestly the worst reception to an event I have ever seen. I thought the Triple Cone Cup reception was too much when people said it was literally the downfall of CRK, even Youtubers which confused and disappointed me as one event won't ruin a game no matter how bad it is. People need to try to enjoy it for the way it is and not for the way they want to enjoy it because trust me when I say this, going back and looking at it whole after you finish everything is not an option because by then you know the answers, mysteries and whatnot and won't get the same magic and excitement that you should be experiencing. And since this event is limited, I hope everyone enjoys it while they can. I guess the takeaway from this post is to enjoy this game and have fun with it instead of just blindly doing everything for the sakes of rewards and whatnot. That is all, if you have genuine criticisms of this event and actually did it properly then I have no problems with you but to the majority of you, I hope this post gives you a different insight on this event.
