7" Shorts Comparison - J. Crew, A&F, GAP
Just a quick comparison of the 7" shorts from three different brands that I happened to have around. Included are the J. Crew Stanton in 29" waist, A&F Preppy Fit in 30" waist, and GAP Kennedy in 30" waist. As you can tell the GAP shorts have a slightly larger opening than the other two but hardly noticeable. The inseams vary but all three have the same outseam of 16". That's taken from the top of the shorts to the very bottom of a leg along the outside edge. Warning: The GAP 30" shorts fit more like a 31 or maybe even a 32. The waist is ridiculously vanity sized. I'm going to toss them in a warm wash and dry to see if they'll shrink down to something reasonable. Feel free to add any pics or measurements you may have taken for comparison sake. EDIT: J. January 28, 2015Sizing on these Gap shorts?
They are providing both a traditional women’s pant size (8) and then also the equivalent women’s denim size (29). Gap tends to run fairly big so their size 29 doesn’t mean the waist is 14.5” flat. You could list either size - I would look at sold comps and see what’s more prevalent (and of course you can mention both in the description). More on reddit.com
