If you dont like the pro tips then probably get 4. I personally have pro 2s and love them. And in my head because there’s a more secure fit cos of the rubber tip is sealed, I feel like the ANC is better, maybe not true but just my own thinking, and very comfortable and nice, it’s all preference as you say you prefer no tips so get the 4s. it all comes down to whether or not you’re comfortable with a silicone tip in your ear canal, if that doesn’t bother you then the AirPods Pro 2 is what you should go with. I don’t like my ear canal sealed so I got the AirPods 4 ANC it’s cheaper too. More on reddit.com

I’m actually confused on how the latest brand of AirPods are actually cheaper than an older model. Does that mean that the Pro 2 is actually better hence the higher price?
I’ve used the AirPods Pro 2 before but lost one so just looking to buy a whole new set. My fear with the AirPods 4 is that they won’t fit in my ears because they don’t have the silicone tips on them. Which version is better?
I’m considering the AirPods 4 because it’s newer and somehow cheaper but I’m not sure since I’m more used to the older model. What should I do?

I got the 4s with ANC vs the Pro 2s because of the silicone tips. I couldn’t last 2 hours with those tips, but with the 4s, I could comfortably wear them the whole time I’m at work, and I go to the gym, they won’t fall out. ANC and sound quality is better on the Pro, but the fit of the 4s is perfect for me.
