Currently running into some trouble with my motherboard. I am running a gigabyte aorus z690 ax elite mb. Noticed that I cannot access bios through any method it seems. I tried Del and all the function keys one by one and no luck. It should be the Del key according to my motherboard's manual. I was able to access it when first configuring the new motherboard. Last I was able to get to BIOS was when adding a m.2 ssd a few months ago. I also disconnected the boot drive and nothing at all. Just get no signal found on both monitors on boot. The motherboard does have a troubleshoot light that shows no boot found so it should be defaulting to BIOS. Any thoughts on this?

Editing this post in August 2024 because this post pops up on google a lot for people. Solution that worked for me: Start up was skipping the bios because my primary monitor was either 2k resolution, 165hz or display port. luckily I had a 1080p 60hz hdmi monitor plugged in as well so I just used that and got into bios first go. With my new 3070ti gpu, I can get into bios with the display port monitor now. So it seemed a gpu issue with my very old 960 gpu in the end. You could always click restart to bios and immediately unplug your monitor, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it in and see if you're in. good luck.
I've had my new pc for a few months now. I had this problem since the beginning when I went to change the RAM speed and couldn't reset to Bios or spam the Del key in restart. I had to unplug my m.2 and turn it on without the hard drive plugged in. That was the only way I could get into the BIOS.
I'm currently trying to get into my bios to turn on TPM for windows 11. Things I have tried:
-Holding shift and selecting restart, Trouble shoot, Restart to UEFI firmware settings = just restarting windows normally.
-restarting the computer and spamming delete as fast as I can the entire time = loading windows normally. I've even tried holding delete down the whole time as well.
-downloading app centre - downloading fast boot - selecting Launch UEFI = computer restarting and loading windows normally.
Specs are Gigabyte Z590M gaming X, 16 gb ram, 11600k, Samsung SSD 970 evo plus 1TB, 960 GPU (lol).
So all modern components minus the GPU. Also I've never installed drivers or whatever for the motherboard. Thought people said to avoid that if possible?
I've scoured the internet for solutions and have found nothing. Fast boot in app centre also reckons that Fast boot is disabled on the MB. Maybe its a setting on the BIOS that I need to change? So I might have to unplug the M.2 and change it.
Thanks for your time guys.
Same. Switching from DP to HDMI and unplugging the second display worked a treat. Thanks so much!
BTW, I'm working with MSI b550 Tomahawk mobo. 😉
Okay, so I managed to fix it.
After pulling out the M.2 hard drive and turning the PC on. My monitors all went black, something prompted me to unplug the 2k 144 hz monitor thats plugged in by display port and try again. All of a sudden my Bios appeared on my 1080p hdmi monitor.
So I plugged the hard drive back in and have managed to get into my BIOS through multiple methods now. On normal restart the LOGO now appears and i can press delete. Or Shift + restart -> UEFI, launches straight to the Bios.
So yeah in conclusion must be something with my ASUS 960 GPU or the monitor itself not working with display port. what a funky Bug.
Now I have a bigger problem. I've tried enabling intel PTT and after save and exit it is still disabled. Absolutely no idea how to fix that.
